I kind of agree that the refereeing wasn't brilliant, but is it any coincidence that this keeps happening? We need to smarten up, we always get close to the big teams, but hardly ever get over the line. We have massive brain explosions at the wrong times.

Pretty much sums up the season and season before that and season before that and no doubt if Agar is the Coach again next season it will be same, nothing ever changes or improves under him.

We struggle because we dont have a true halfback pairing. A lot will say well its not Agars fault Long is injured, but anyone who puts faith in a crock playing a full season is deluded. We should have brought in a backup for the inevitable Long injuries.

In all fairness he is a hooker, and he wasn't brought in till Wakey had their problems.

The Sam Tomkins try was fine, when a player is sliding the tackle is complete at the point where the players stops sliding so he's entitled to reach out and score.

The Obst try that was disallowed for obstruction was dubious. I know that the player can't use the dummy runner to shield himself but I thought the Wigan player went for the man deliberately to try to get the penalty rather than attempting to tackle the ball carrier.

The right result but I feel a little bit hard done to. We didn't help ourselves and lacked some rub of the green.

Not seen it back on tv yet but the same old thing creeps into my head a lot of times - whilst decisions are often correct you can't help but wonder if they would be 'spotted' if it was the other way around.

We did. Obst. As backup halves go he's not the worst, but we've had to rely on him so much that his limitations have really been shown up.

That was not foresight though was it? We brought nobody else in till the Wakey situation came up, yet any half decent coach would have seen last season we failed to deliver in the opposing 20 and brought in a suitable backup.

to be fair if we could convert possession in the danger zone into points we wouldn't be havin any of these conversations. lets hope our half backs next season can change that, and prey that mr agar doesn't train it out of them. thats of course if mr Agar is still here!!!

We tried during the close season but couldn't get who we wanted. When the Wakey situation came up we took advantage. It's one of the few things this season that I don't really have a problem with. And in any case Obst has been available for the vast majority of the time Long's been out.

It's a non issue IMO.
