He might be from east hull, surname coats , and support fc. But then that would mean he spelt his surname wrong !

Maybe it's supposed to be "EASTCOATSTLC"
Takes old coats from the East and refurbishes them?
I missed Standee anyway, good to have him back!!!!!!!!!

| Quote: downtheante "Agreeance is a word that seems to be continually reinvented and recycled. The term first appeared in the 16th century and enjoyed its greatest popularity in the 18th and early to mid-19th centuries. Since then it has fallen into disuse. Most likely unaware of the word's history, modern writers who recoin the term seem to like how it sounds, even though it adds nothing in meaning to its workhorse counterpart, agreement. The suffix ‐ance indeed is used in English to form many nouns from verbsAgreeance[/i, AGREEANCE! Yes, like that. Nowt wrong with archaic words.
Gotten is another word which causes angst. Far from being an Americanism, it's a traditional English work dating at least back to the early medieval period. Gotten, [iGotten[/i, GOTTEN.
You've gotten my agreeance on that. Mmmm.

| I don't think £21 for an adult ticket bought individually is that expensive, however when kids are involved in your family unit it's not always easy to take them (cost) or maybe it's too late if they are young or indeed they'll get bored.
Justifying ££ when kids are involved and things are tight is a tough choice, you can do a whole day with the kids for £30 (bearing in mind £31 is an adult+ child ticket)
The atmosphere when we play great no matter how many turn up is good, when the place is rocking the feel good factor for the fans is brilliant. The derby wins, the Saints comeback, the Bradford playoff and a few more besides.
I think if the team keep producing the goods then slowly some fans will be more drawn to come back. Showing that we really are contenders and being able to replicate that next year with possibly some silverware will really heighten people's interest to maybe renew passes or at least attend more games.
It's down to Radford, the players and AP to make fans feel like they want to come and feel good at being entertained and it's VFM, not just out of loyalty

| The answer to the OP's question is NO.
There will be very few Giants fans at this game.
Just thought i would get that in early before you start going on about the away support on Friday

Indeed, unless you get junior passes (which are very reasonably priced) it could be very expensive. We could be looking at 8 from 8 by the time we play Catalogs in late April, that will be a good barometer of where we are, but surely Huddersfield and Leeds can't continue as poor as they have been recently?

Ive never though hudds have had many travelling fans anyway regardless of whatever season and how good they are doing even though there is a train direct to hull and would be really easy to get here. Although this year I have been really impressed by the amount of away fans, seems to have been more but I don't know if that is cos we have stuck them in the corner so it just looks more packed.

It's the trains back that are the problem. The last one to Leeds/Hudds is at 9:38.

That is the problem pretty much anywhere outside of London, there isn't the demand for late trains, but equally that has been dictated by the reduced supply over the years. You can't get from Hull to Brough after 8pm, not sure what time the last buses are either.
The impact of privatisation I am afraid.

Just checked and you are 100% correct, you can actually get back to Huddersfield, but it's not a direct service. Have to wait in Leeds for a connection.

| When you played on a Sunday there used to be loads of us came on the train...cracking day out...now it's almost impossible to get back unless you drive or go on the coach. But that's the way most clubs are going these days.

A quick look on THETRAINLINE.COM show plenty of trains back, but via Leeds.
I wish the whole game would move back to Sunday afternoon kick offs, but that ship has long since sailed!
