This is true. Alas!

I have no idea, to be honest, what Saints will do from one match to the next this season. Last season we started a slide down the league that was halted only because the season ran out and many Saints fans blamed that on our awful injury list during the second half of the season. Yet there have been matches this season when our injury list has been almost as bad as that but we have won a game or, as in Murrayfield, tonked the opposition with some sublime play. And then we 'do a Salford', which we did at Salford and again against Barrow last week. To say we were dire would be an understatement. We're like Jekyll and Hyde this season, regardless of our injuries it would seem.

So. We may have a relatively strong side out (definitely minus Kyle, Maurie, Sia, Jon, Jamie and Ade) and play schoolboy bollox or we could have a weakened side out and play like champions. Or any other permutation. I really have no idea these days!

Either way, you do tend to give us a good match at your pad.

Was feeling confident before I saw the injuries Saints have, now looking at their potential team it would be a very disapointting result if we dont win on Friday.

Injuries or not, Saints will have a quality side out.

I agree Paul, but we must look at this as a very winnable game against a depleted Saints side. I would even say we should be favourites.

For me, playing sides like Saints, you win or lose by your mind set. If we don't go out there confident of winning we could get mullered and against sides like Saints and Leeds etc. we seem to have a serious lack of belief.

I agree about the mindset but its needed for every game. I disagree about the Saints and Leeds comment though. I actually think we get up for the Saints and Leeds games far more than we do the lesser games. We always give Saints and Leeds good games and occassionally we turn them over. It Crusaders and Salford that i worry about!

But that's the point, we "occasionally" turn them over, i've watched us against Saints and Leeds many a time and thought they were for the taking, for us to just roll over and have our belly tickled! I agree about the Crusaders and Salford bit though! So we don't have the belief to beat the big teams and we struggle to apply ourselves correctly against the "lesser" teams! Jeez, no wonder we've been near the bottom the last 2 years!
