In my opinion Richard Agar has to consider his future @ the club. It is not just one game as some one earlier stated. Mr Agar has been @ the club for a consider period & in my opinion, overall things have been going downhill.
From my observations more & more supporters are getting 'fed-up' & today's performance & result just compounds the situation.

Mr B is in a right stinking mood tonight, and he's a man of [uextreme[/u patience and good nature (as he needs to be, having been married to me for 17+ years). Tonight is the first time I can remember him complaining about the money we've paid for our season passes and the fact we've arranged holidays and weekends around Hull FC. I'm not one of these who say "this is the worst/most boring FC team I've ever seen" because that's simply untrue, but when Mr B starts to complain, having gone to virtually every game in 2008 and 2009 without doing so, you have to question whether the collective FC supporters patience is wearing wafer-thin. Feels like we're approaching the end of our tether tbh and any Berrigan/Tansey/injury style excuses will not be acceptable.

I agree, more and more 'casual' fans are getting fed up with Agar, its gone beyond the message board moaners and the erratic Radio Humberside callers.

I also presume from the lack of updates about pass sales recently that we are down on last seasons total. I suppose we will see on Friday night how many spaces there are in the East/South stands compared to last year.

And also on a positive note paul at least our leader has shown our team how to tie their boot laces! lol Go on laugh you know you want to, but i do agree with your post the players have a lot to answer for too today!

The thing is I am not an Agar fan, he has done better in terms of recruitment and performances last season but he still has it all to prove for me. That said the players made the mistakes today and not Agar, it suits people to blame Agar, it somehow makes everything his fault when in reality it runs deeper than that.

No argument here, I said when Smith was wobbling as the GB coach we should make a move and snap him up. he is the reason for their change in fortunes.

Noble is out of work, and is IMO of the same caliber as Smith. Just look at what he did last year with a Crusaders side that started the season in a new town, with no proper pre-season. You can also argue that Wigan are reaping the rewards of the work he did with their young players.

I'd have Noble in a heartbeat. It staggers me sometimes how people turn their nose up at him, compared to what we've got currently there's no contest at all.

these are the plaayers he picks and they play in afashion that he choses. He may not tell them to miss tackles and give penalties away but these players are in these scenarios because of agar.

Agar picks the team, lays out the tactics (badly), chooses the interchanges etc so yes it is 'blame agar' time again..

Load of rubbish, Fitz was giving away penalties away in the first half along with others. No way is that Agar's fault.

Totally agree paul and its the same in all walks of life the boss takes the blame for those below him but i think its fair to say they know that when they take the job as does agar, i think maybe its because the fans are so passionate they expect the coach and players to show the same passion for the club and today we did in the first 20 mins but then the bad discipline set in and they capitalized on it, the thing that frustrates me most of all is our fight back as in last season we either dont have any or we leave it too late, other teams like wigan, leeds,saints have a never say die attitude and as a hull fan i wish we had that,we did it when we won the challange cup in 2005 and look what happened we won

Do you honestly think that Agar, or any coach, tells their players to give away penalties?

No of course not, but that doesn't mean he has no responsibility when it happens. There's a hell of a lot more to being a SL head coach than what you do and don't 'tell' your players to do, it's a rare art to be able to get a whole team of players to perform to the best of their ability on a consistent basis and it extends way beyond 'telling' anyone anything.

Absolute !! He is the coach if players are giving away silly penalties (Captain or not ) he had the opportunity to change it but he chose not too.(we had 4 forwards on the bench so not short of options)

He selected the team, He sets the tactics, he should impose the discipline and he failed to create a game plan to snuff out their rampaging second rowers running off Dobson (Which is their staple attacking play). The Agar didnt miss tackles excuse is exactly that a poor worn out excuse .
