I am sure there are already some whom pick and choose their matches between the two already

With the current administration in the seat of power at red hall I do not think Wakefield will be the last to fold...
it was always my feeling that the RL was there to look after its own gang however it seems that they are now choosing who is and who is not in their gang, this next 18 months could be a sad time for rugby league in general

Or it could see the game finally understanding that it isnt some charity, its a business. 10/12 viable SL clubs, better grounds etc.

I'd rather that then go watch that shower in the wrong side of our city.

i can see your point but its a bit late for the RL to start taking moral high grounds on "its a business" which should have been done a long time ago with at least three other clubs in SL...
If RL is to survive it needs to start either admitting it is happy to be a tiny northern sport or start thinking out of the box and be radical for once and start afresh with a whole new model for the games future then stick to it!!!

I've no problem with that approach provided all clubs are treated equally by the RL.

Ive got a few friends who are die hard Wakey fans and believe me they would rather gouge their own eyes out than go watch Cas.
Wakey will exist in some shape or form in the lower leagues so they will continue to support them what ever.
RL is RL as far as i'm concerned wether it is on the park on a sunday morning or at the KC, in a lot of ways i prefer the amatuer game, there is something more honest about it tbh

Like i said there is and has been for a wee while a line of thought put forward by two club owners that the whole of RL should be rethought and rekindled with a plan that secures rugby at the highest level in the heartlands AND THEN if that steadies the ship for all the model can be rolled out to encompass teams in France, wales, scotland , cumbria but it is radical and being diluted by the day with new grounds being built and so on but could still go ahead , some fans wont like it, some clubs definately didnt like it but with most walks in life some dont like change even if its for the greater good of the sport...

You're missing my point on both counts then. Myself and the lads I go to watch FC with would all rather 'gouge out our eyes' than go to watch Rovers, but that doesn't mean that people who would go don't exist. Fair play if you prefer the amateur game but that's not going to help the type of people I'm talking about i.e. those who more than anything else just enjoy the experience of watching elite sport. It's like if Arsenal or Chelsea went bust telling their fans not to worry and to get themselves down to Hackney Marshes.

It might seem a horrible idea to you or me, but it's naive to think that if FC were to fold Rover's wouldn't see their attendances go up by at least a couple of thousand over time.

I just look for 2 results Hull and the team that play Rovers and I cheer for the team that playing Rovers ..Sorry but I am Hull F C and there is noway would I give Rovers any of my money to watch them

i'd rather stand with the away fans(or sit on the golf stand)than be with the dobbins!!!! i could quite happily shout for cas and co against rovers at craven park
