Dave,a bit of enthusiasm is all we have asked for this season mate.

But it needs to be controlled, we've had too many "penalty machines" in the FC ranks, getting rid of King and Thacks should fix that.

Agree with that and hopefully his agression can be controlled and used at the right time within a game.
It is however, nice to see someone of his ilk taking it to the other set of forwards after this season as time and time again we have been too nice or bullied in the forwards and with the likes of Hame and O'Meley it looks like that is about to change.

Despite the O'Meeley omission the porblem with that is we have to much impact froming from the bench and not enough at the start of the game, Manu needs to start imo.
Lauaki looked good although was not involved enough for me, he went quite a while without touhing the ball. Use him and Manu right and they could be very destructive together.

Dowes will always be a starting prop and don't see what Radford can bring from the bench, so my guess is he'll start too.

cusack and o'meley are as well. radford for 5th prop for me doesn't need to be in the back row anymore as we have better alternatives.

If Moa is not here then I would reckon:-
Dowes
Berrigan
O'Meley
Radford
Fitzgibbon
Washbrook
Cusack
Lauaki
Manu
Houghton

I think that will be pretty much the first choice though i can't decide whether to start with O'Meley or Cusack. You need your best defenders on in the first 20 and whilst i know O'Meley can put big hits in he strikes me as someone who can provide better impact from the bench than Cusack.

Which begs the question, is Moa (as a quota player) a luxury we can ill afford?

I wouldn't sign him unless he was going to be played in the 17 every week, which i can't see. If i were Hull i would be targeting a decent 6.

The problem with that lineup is that it means playing Lauaki as a prop and I think he'd be better used in the second row. I guess you could get around that by moving Radford to prop?

Or Fitzgibbon.

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |

I agree. Getting into the oppostion 20 hasnt necessarily been our problem but looking like getting over the try line certainly has. I would put a creative 6 at the top of my shopping list and not rely on one player bringing the creative spark we are missing in Sean Long.
Stefan Ratchford would have made an ideal 6 alongside Long IMO.

As GG says, he would need to play in the 17 each week to justify it. I would do that TBH as I think playing him there would allow us to better utilise Lauaki and would give our pack real punch.
