| I think most of us knew that we'd end up with Radford and Dowes again next season despite all the talk suggesting they'd be on their way. I have a bigger problem with Radford getting two years than Dowes getting one - like Hutchie says, Radders will be out until Easter but somehow we gave him two more years,

Easter's end of April next year, so he'll miss at least the first 12 rounds.

Dont underestimate Radders role coaching of the U15s. Really positive feedback from the players and a few Robins have jumped ship to join the set up.

| i can't see why people are thinking we have signed him back up purely cos fielden and lms turned us down?? the club offered him this 1 year reduced terms deal before the season finished, and he has now accepted.he may not have the aggression what o'meley, moa,or even hame have but as a SQUAD player/BACKUP prop he's a good one to have.his record regarding injuries is also a bonus.if westerman comes then fine, but i think our priority is in the halves, not the forwards.

| I'm not underestimating the impact he has on the kids and that is a positive. However, he is on the salary cap for the next two seasons and needs to be judged on his playing performances. If he is great with the kids then maybe a coaching role in that area of the club might have been a better idea. Only a thought.

I personally suspect that although we offered both he and Radford 1 year reduced deals, securing a new prop would have meant one of them being retracted. When we didn't get anyone in, we therefore still had 2 spots to fill. I don't think we'd have really needed Moa, O'Meley, Dowes, Radford and AN Other as well when we already have Fitzgibbon and Lauaki to move up/offer cover.

Did we? I thought we'd offered them both 1 year deals on reduced terms months ago. If we wanted rid we wouldn't have offered them deals

Hull always offered him a one year playing contract either way so he will be judged by his on field performances next year without doubt and the fact that he is helping coaching young players is an added bonus.
The club obviously rate Radders as the kind of guy they want in the setup both in a player/coaching role and this was the deal that secured that. I suspect that this time next year both Lee and the club will have a discussion to see how the second year of his contract pans out. He may become a bit part player depending on recruitment and young players coming through in 2012 and focus more on coaching within the club.

He was always wanted as a player for next year there was a contract offer for 2011 from Hull from the very beginning.

| Dowes is no great ball playing prop, he is however a grafter who puts in the effort and is good in defence. There has and I hope always will be a place for players like him, he has been at the club for eight years that should count for something. We seem to have a problem with recruitment or is it we are fed certain names and then we get who we get.
In all honesty if you where a budding or proven star of the game and where offered a large contract by a club with a proven coach, finshed high in the league, won an honour or would you come to Hull even if the deals where the same ?

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.
