rich horne will be outstanding this season, give the guy a break he has had two career threatening injuries the last two seasons and does not become s**t overnight who cares what ppl from other clubs think just jealousy these rumours always come from somebody who pretends to think they are in the know usually a bloke told them down the pub, if rich horne went on transfer list clubs from aus would be interested.

i was talking in terms of when Rich was first diagnosed with diabetes referring to the posters who were saying about when his form had dropped, he had recently been diagnosed then, and AFAIK is still having occassional problems as discussed at the forum in control of his BM's. I agree that players not on form should be dropped regardless if who they are, and that there is no room for sentimentality. I was just miffed that we are not even a game in and Horney has been made the "scapegoat " again.

It's worrying IMO that he's passed out twice in pre season training. I know they made light of it at the forum, but obviously the first point is whether he's doing any long term risk to his health by playing such a high intensity sport. The (obviously) secondary point is how predictable it is in terms of managing his performance.

i work with people who have diabetes everyday and it is a hard illness to control as a normal person but especially as a sportsman, using more energy, eating more calories all mean that Rich will continually have to adjust the way he controls his diabetes. ( i dont know what he takes for his diabetes or whether it is diet controlled ) but i also find it worrying that he has fainted however i would hope that he has all the knowledge and help from the club doctors and the endocrinologists to help him through.
