You can leave Hall out, as that is what this debate is centred around. Agar saw potential, Craig didn't deliver.
I'll give you Washy, i forgot bout him myself.
No others.
Can i just reiterate, I'm not talking about signing as such. I'm talking about players who have progressed and those who haven't!! Take your specs off PhilB, i feel i have!!
And yes, i'll give you Turner to a level... He's not amazing but he's shown potential and some good glimpses, i'd rather have him than Hall!!

| Players come on because They want to.. Coaches are like School teachers if people want to learn there will..You can only teach anybody to a certain point ..Any player in our sport of Rugby have sometime played when they were young ..they have their strong points and weakness C Hall is his tackling ..Some are good under the high ball they attack it.. I know I am going back a long time but I was told many times if you play Rugby you just do thing don't stop and think if you hesitate that when you get hurt C Hall is 22 he as had a good 9 years or more to get his tackling technique right

It depends on your perspective, on top of Fox and Watts, players come on under Morgan.
Murrell got an England train on squad spot.
Cockayne has improved immensley from the player he was 5 years ago
Lovegrove came as an 18 (might have been 17) year old centre and has developed into a starting SL prop.
Welham is a starting centre who has come through the youth team.
Colbon is far from average, if you watched him every week you'd see what he adds to our team and how we miss him when he's out.
The back wards ones
Was Mariano or I'Anson ever quoted as the next big thing? can't say I've ever heard it mentioned. I must admit his record of bringing through some young lads isn;t exceptional and he has made errors but to say Watts and Fox are his only successes is a bit harsh.
The player gone backwards under Agar could include
Hodgeson (gone)
Wheeldon (gone)
Hall (gone)
Lee (gone)
Horne
Washbrooke (seems to take a lot of flack)
Thats not to mention players like Berrigan who maybe through no fault of Agar just hasn;t delivered on the promise they came with.
All coaches will have players who have done well and those that have either gone backwards or just not lived up to the potential they were deemed to have. Maybe even with the best coach in the world they'd have failed, we'll never know, the players themselves will need to take a lot of the blame if they just don;t step up.
For me the best coaches in the world realise when a player isn't what they require for their team and either change the player or move them out, and recruit / promote the correct player for the team.

That is one of the most blinkered posts I've ever seen.
Briscoe - Cannot be used in this point, because he is hardly rubbish now is he
Cooke - Said yourself this isn't Morgan's doing, so again doesn't come into question
Wheeldon - I think he has come on as the season as gone on, and last 6 weeks really showed some power. If it is the same player, why on earth did you release him?
Hodgson - a. How many times have you seen him this season? b. Hasn't looked out of his depth at all this year, and for a 20 yr old hooker that is a great thing. Will be great for us/
Mariano - When has Mariano been dubbed as "the next big thing". He has always been a squad player, and basically there to make the home grown numbers up if we're been honest.
Colbon - Was good at wigan, is still good now. This season he was unlucky with the jaw injury then the knee injury straight after, but he is far from V Average.
I'anson - Is probably the only player who validates your point here.

| I think people are getting me wrong here. I didn't start this as a Rovers v Hull point scoring exercise like some have tried to do!!
I simply wanted to put my point across the Craig Hall is not going to become a better player now that he's under Morgan. IMO, which I stated at the start, Agar gets more improvement out of the young english players in which he sees the right level of potential and attitude!!
I said I was open to suggestions regarding Rovers as I'm not overly knowledgeable regarding your side as you are mine!
You surely cannot honestly say Wheeldon is a quality player, he was average when he left us, he's still average now! Even Morgan wanted rid.
Hodgson is no doubt a good player but he has not progressed at Rovers, in response to you I say how many times did you watch him at FC?? He was an excellent prospect but left to get 1st team footie, he doesn't look a better player!

I actually think you've validated precisely the point that FC Wembley 08 was making, well done. Hall hasn't delivered his potential at Hull, but Rovers fans by and large assume he will do easily under Morgan's coaching.
Briscoe - made the Dream Team when at Hull FC. Good last year, calls for him to be dropped for a utility back this season.
Cooke - a better and more successful player at Hull than at Rovers
Wheeldon - OK at Hull and played in a Grand Final. Not progressed significantly under Morgan
Hodgson - heralded as a fantastic signing in a squad with a relatively poor quality of hooker but take a look at the hidden forum where generally people are a bit disappointed in his progression. Contrast with Houghton who at 21 has played 78 first team games and won players and fans player of the year this season.
Mariano - who? As you say, token inclusion who Morgan is struggling to develop into a SL standard player
Colbon - the definition of average and in reality has probably gone backwards this year (albeit troubled by injury)
Chuck in Menzies, Esders, Spaven, I'Anson, Ratu, Kirk Netherton as young players with potential that Morgan's not transformed and you can see why the rather arrogant view that Hall only has to turn up to training with Morgan to realise his international potential is somewhat discredited.

Fantastic Mrs B - Just one question: Does your other half ever win an arguement?

We don't argue at all, unless I'm navigating. I have many positive attributes but spacial awareness is definitely not one of them.

Not unless you have alternative usernames. Try not to upset me - I'm a definitive Scorpio and consequently a world-class grudge-bearer.
