I have no doubt that Pearson has spoken to all the players ,staff ect and from that he has made this statement .Some comments on here are laughable , whos is next in line for our poor performances the kit man? programme sellers? we have had Radford ,Pearson and Motu Tony.Then we get he does not fire them up ? Almost every game Fc have had the better stats,the effort is not in question.After the defeat to Rovers they went to Saints sand won,who got them up for that? the grass cutter. Then we get "happy clappers" thrown at fans Nobody i have spoken to is Happy and rightly so but looking at the get Radford out petition it shows that not many do want him out ..92 at the last count. Like everybody else we know our problems are getting over the line ,our go forward is one of the best in the comp along with our defence so why do we struggle to score?IMO any defence need structure and we have got that , IMO we lack basic Rugby near the line and thats backing players up, decent kicking game to put pressure on opposition defences and for players to run better lines. Do we really believe that Radford ect and the players dont know this? do we really believe they dont do this in training ?I have seen th eteam do all this intraing yet when it comes to the game it all gets lost..why wish I knew the answer.One thing is certain drive Pearson out and nobody will by a pass there wont be a club to support,I find it ludicrous that some think he does not care.If we dont back the team and Pearson it will be the end of the Club .Nobody would take the Club on knowing they would get flack when things get bad and what coach would come here knowing his family would also get abuse which sadly we have seen already ..its a disgrace

Why dont the club try a media black out for one week, then we wont get the usual guff.

Just a week for the team to do the talking in the 80 minute performance, nothing else.

I'd love to hear Pearson talk if we get beat by Salford.

The highlighted part is the single biggest hole in the argument of it being a player issue. The effort is mostly there, it's just not being harnessed and directed correctly.

Obviously the players are not blameless, but IMO if it's the quality and not the commitment of them that is the question, it then still comes back to who is recruiting them, training them, and selecting them as well. I genuinely believe that there is some sort of confusion/denial at all the huffing and puffing not turning into points, as if it is inconceivable that it should not follow automatically. It certainly comes across that way in Radford's post match comments when we lose narrowly, and I think it's evident in the way that the players don't actually seem to improve in terms of skill, rather it just looks like the answer is believed to be to work harder, not smarter.

As bad as we are I can't see us losing to Salford. If you have to ask for a postponement things are obviously in dire straights. I'm more concerned that a win will bring about all the "we've turned the corner," articles and will buy Radford yet more time.

I could never actively want us to lose a game, but I am pretty indifferent about this result. Even if we win I just don't see how we are good enough to make the 8. A loss might be a good thing in the long run.

If that result came in at 9:50pm , I think that would be it for Radford regardless of Pearson's backing . I think & hope he'd walk.

In my 37 years of supporting the club there have only really been 4 terrible coaches IMO, casey, walsh, agar and radford. I will probably carry on going to games this season as I've bought my pass but if radford is in charge next season then I won't buy another one until he is gone

I'm much the same. Thankfully attending is not an issue for me. Work dictates on that score.

The big issue we have on Friday is that because of the bleating by Salford we are on a hiding to nothing. Win like Castleford last week and it's a moral victory for Salford and will heap tons more pressure on AP and Radford. Get a massively convincing win and it will be seen as an expected result and noting to write home about. Lose and we will officially be THE laughing stock of the league.
It doesn't matter how many we have out, Salford have played their ace card and are massive underdogs. We simply can't win.
The other issue will be player complacency. To my mind one of our biggest issues over the past 9 years.
If the team think they've won before crossing the line we will be in for a torrid night.
It's really not going to be pretty, especially with a crowd of 8000 at best.

Only just started reading this thread and a myth about how good Gentle was needs to be put straight . I used to speak to him on the golf course on occasion and one thing he confessed to me was he didn't know how to fire the team up against Rovers. To me he never came over as a confident guy who was in full control of things. I was told other stuff that I can't substantiate to back that up. I for one agreed that both him and bomber should go.
Particularly after sitting through yet another Wembley disappoint.
Now I'm afraid history is repeating it self with Radford. After being a supporter for 63 years I am now not looking forward to going to matches any more and very concerned about what is happening to our team and standing in the game. We are a joke

I don't disagree that gentle wasn't good enough and had to go but pearson then had to appoint a coach he KNEW was better, not one he thought might be. The damage done will take years to work through at best and could put our future at risk at worst

Im a passholder, and this has made me think radfords here for the long run, thats me not going tomorrow night, rather be bored to death at home

If you can take 8 mins of radford , watch his press conference on hull fc tv, it's free so you don't have to waste anymore money. I'm pretty sure he's blaming Fridays predicted low attendance on Salford asking for a postponement! Anyway it's all pretty cringe worthy, enjoy

How's Radford doing? I think you're missing the point - most people wouldn't
of minded Gentle leaving if we appointed a better coach.
What Pearson did was sheer lunacy.

Radford has had his day in the sun. Turned his back on fc as a kid and went on to achieve great things.

I don't blame him for our predicament. He was/is an average amateur coach and a very good union player/coach.

Our lack of a tried and tested coach comes from those who hold the purse strings. Sharp and gentle were given the rough end of the stick.

No I'm not missing the point . I'm pointing out that he wasn't as good as some people believe regardless of the results. I was told stuff by "people in the know" as is often quoted on here, backed up what I thought at the time.
I totally agree with you we should have signed a better coach and like you and lots of other fans are worried how bad we have to get before that is rectified. Like everybody else , and I do believe lots of fans are good judges of players and coaches, I despair at the school boy errors on and off the pitch. Seeing the same errors and lack of basic skills week after week is getting hard to watch.

Lets hope we hope we start playing better or something is changed at the top.
