I know exactly what Parasol do as a company. I can more than appreciate why the current climate would cause concern for such a company also, but you have no evidence as to suggest Parasol are on Shakey ground, other than rumour.

As for the clubs status, you will find on this forum that I have stated Hull have everything in place to be the biggest club in the country. The one problem Hull have got though, is Kath H and co, and for this reason, and this reason alone, I believe Hull will continue to struggle to realise their full potential, whilst Rovers will build on what has already been a success since our promotion.

For this reason alone, Rovers are and will continue to be the biggest, most recognised club in the city until someone with an ounce of savvy picks up the club you support and moves them in the right direction. When that happens, simply because of facillities and correct management, Rovers would struggle to compete.

Seven directors in total, these 5 + James Rule, Tony Sutton, have since added John Flatman.

So if, as suggested, Kath has knocked back an offer of £1.3m for her share and wanted 3 times that, i.e. £3.9m, and that's only 30% of the shares, that suggests the total valuation is £13m.

No point in buying just Kath out as John and Pauline own 40% anyway, but I know they [idid[/i want out some time ago.

So the Shares of the board are only worth approx £800k and The Weatherills are the major shareholders, dispells a few rumours then.

For a start it means that KH isn't able to block a takeover on her own, so may not be the primary stumbling block she's normally made out to be.

This is where it gets tricky. The club has no fixed assets so any additional value is going to be entirely based on a subjective evaluation of trading potential and 'goodwill'. Included in that would be the fact that we have an A grade licence which effectively guarantees us 9 years in SL. This is almost certainly the area where all previous attempts have fallen down since neither side would be able to point at a decisive objective value.

Of course, you don't have to buy the whole club to take it over. A majority shareholding would do the trick and might be easier to achieve...

Total creditors are £1.7m, but no split of what makes them up - could well be standard trade creditors, accruals etc, so £1m for loans might not be way off the mark.

The valuation though is based partly on future earnings potential and the business has made a profit the last 3 years, only us and Leeds in this bracket, plus we have effectively a 9 year franchise. However, recent financial performance has been enhanced with the Challenge Cup runs, which won't have been planned, so I'd suggest a value of £2.5m - £3m isn't unreasonable in all honesty.
