I can only understand it if it was for unreserved, if it is for a specific seat then I cannot imagine The Brother turning up at a match and not personally ejecting someone if they had found it and thought they might avail themselves of his seat.

I have already had a chat wth the Brother about this and have a lot of sympathy for him, it could happen to any of us! AS I understand it, the old policy was that you paid a £10 and got it replaced however it is now not the case at City or Hull games.

Its a capacity issue really, they will still do it for passes that have been chewed up by the dog or gone through the washer if you produce the evidence. But if you lose it, someone else could have got their hands on it, they don't have to sit in The Brothers seat they could just use it to get in and then sit in unreserved. By the regulations under which the Stadium is licensed whatever the expected attendance the user can only issue one pass per seat, and in this instance if he does not have the mangled remains as proof, if a new ticket is issued then in the eyes of the licensing authority two tickets would be in circulation for his one seat!
