Doesn't surprise me at all, when he signed he was one of the hottest prospects in the game.



I think he's gone a bit stale at the club, and now think a move is the best for all concerned.

I'd be amazed if we're paying him £120k a year but you never know.

Totally agree, if that is the amount he is on and to increase his deal would have been stupid, Lineham will be on half that and offers far more to the team IMO.



Still think we need another winger, not convinced by Crookes at all.

Isn't this the last year of a 5 year deal? No way in hell did we agree those wages 5 years ago.

Think he's had at least one upgrade. Still don't think he's on £120k mind.

It might have increased as he's met certain targets for appearances, caps, tries etc?

its quite obvious both briscoe and tickle had no intention of siging new deals with fc...

get rid and move on i say.... we should have shipped out tickle last season so we could get a fee.... great goal kicker but he can be replaced cheaper...sa me as briscoe, good winger who can be replaced easily, whilst saving alot of cash....

Well if he goes he goes and it seems he will now be going after the club quite rightly withdrew their offer and moved on.



With rumour appearing Ryan Hall is considering the NRL then Leeds moving for Tom makes more sense. However I would think Leeds would need to look at spending more in their forward department than in the backs.



To be honest I'll be disappointed if Tom goes as we are now on the verge of achieving the potential in the near future of which he would be a big part of, but I wont lose sleep over him departure either.



Players come and go at all clubs so nothing new, he's served us well and it seems it now time for both parties to move on, however i can't help but think this is copy cat of the original Agent/Briscoe mess up.



I do think the money saved by the loss of Briscoe can be of more use elsewhere in the team to be honest.

To be fair to Tom, it's not his fault he's paid hat much. He probably signed originally on a lot less, but with rep honours it's increased. Not surprising that the old regime brokered this deal, who probably saw him as a marketing tool and paid him in relation to that aspect rather than the teams best interests.

Spot on. Crookes as with all the team had a mare on Saturday. Didn't look overly confident especially with high balls. I'd be looking at a back up.

Was going to post that any deal he was on was from the old lot, so AP was caught out by that before he started any negotiations.

Why wouldn't Tom be on something like that figure? He's been one of the best wingers in this country n does some freaky things other players cannot, if we didn't pay the money he'd have been long since gone. Would imagine it's worked its way up to a high/that figure through /appearances/England games etc. Pretty sure his next deal be well in excess of that too.

Still say we need another wing, Tom lineham gets injured at any time then we suddenly don't look very strong out wide, Jason crookes as a 3rd choice as it is now is as strong a wing line up as you'll get with lineham and Briscoe.
