are leigh at the salary cap ?? they havent been for years

if agar has any sense,he will now let obst and horne occupy the half spots till the end of the season.granted neither has a good kicking game,but they where doing fairly well.fair enough long came back to replace obst,but moving horne to fullback was a mistake.no wonder our attack stutters when we keep moving players around.looking at ellis,i think he could make it long term,but looks overweight for a top class scrum half to me.

Wild suggestion, but could we perhaps get away with a player swap deal?
Just give Leigh some compo for loosing Ellis

5 grand hardly makes it worth their while.

Do we have anyone they'd want/need more than Ellis though? The fact that we'd be trading as a way to get him would suggest not.

Why would a player leave Hull for Leigh? Their about to go bankrupt.

If we don't have any room on the cap we won't be signing him.

The only realistic way is to offer Leigh a fee, if it's accepted try and renegotiate Ellis' 2 year deal to compensate him.

Sounds like administration is looming.No doubt someone or somebody will come in after,like Glover at Wakey.From what i was told earlier in the week staff haven't received their wages neither.

Even though it's a live cap and you can back load contracts if memory serves me right you can't have a player on no salary or even very little.

I'd be interested to see what room were making with no win bounses.
