If Carvell wants to move to Hull he'll move. How the deal is done may hold things up a bit but it looks like he's heading your way unless his agent has been doing all this negotiation for the good of his health.

It seems like the radford situation all over again, play your best years somewhere else and then when you are past your best come back to hull fc.

Forget his age, he is an excellent prop, one of the best in the league and certainly better than any of Rovers props.

If he cuts out the unnecessary offload attempts and penalties he could be a decent signing for you.

Heard it's a one year deal, sorted at Radders' house and he's exactly what we need. Paea and Carvell to start then bring on Feka and Green/Watts/Bowden/BTW

Bradford have no choice really, he's lost confidence in their ability to pay his wages - it's happened several times already.

They're not going to want an unhappy and demotivated player on their books.

Think it would be better to interchange one with the other not both on at the same time.

He was excellent for us, playing in a side that reached finals, so I find the best years quote quite puzzling. He then left and went to a side where he continued his trend of reaching finals. I don't think he's ever really peaked, he has always been a superb prop, and still is. Our front row of Logan and Carvell was the most devastating I've seen as a hull supporter. He will be one of the best props in the comp next season regardless of who he plays for.

He's been good in his time, I'm pretty sure Weyman would stand up well to him.

I'd rather start strong than have to battle uphill as we have for the last 5 years. We could have the 2014 equivalent of Bradford's 'Awesome Foursome'. Get that platform laid early for our halves and fast backs while legs are strong.

If both are on at the same time both will tire at the same rate meaning both will need to be interchanged at the same time which could leave you weak. Best to have one on on off for a longer spell.

Hope we get this done. We really need size in the pack to get us on the front foot and he will compliment Paea and Feka very well. A one year deal with an option for a second makes sense.

He's only 32 and plenty of props play to mid 30's, he has plenty of power and experience plus offloads the ball well.

poor old Pitts, heralded in the HDM by Radford as a star in the making back rower, then all of a sudden it looks like he's been binned off.

Good business if you pull it off, still a quality player. Won't be a straight swap for Pitts in salary terms though, somebody else leaving shortly?

I watched Weyman lots last year and he was awful (like a lot of the Saints players TBF), will have to improve on that, thought he looked out of condition in the derby.

But get him back to his form from a couple of years ago, then he will be a good player for you.
