I was under the impression that the deal for Miller fell through last year because Potter was appointed Head Coach at the Tigers and said he didn't want to sell him?

its now common knowledge a deal was agreed pending his release which Sheens had ok'd. A pal of mine was even approached as a possible sponsor (This is who told me at the time.) At the last minute the Prince situation came up and the brakes were put on the Miller deal TBF Gentle and Bomber did speak to him face to face and explained that Prince was now their first choice. In the meantime Potter gets the gig at West's and blocks any chance of Miller coming. To me thats messing the kid about.

I don't see that as messing the kid about. Happens all the time.

Like I said thats just my opinion. I would of felt a little let down with it being so close to done and would make me think twice before getting involved again.

Think you've also got to take into account that when Potter arrived he stopped Miller leaving, Which closed the door as from what I heard we had left the opportunity for Miller to sign for us up to him until Potter refused to release him.

Yeah said as much in the previous post but it was Hull's pursuit of Prince having already practically got Miller in the bag Whilst Sheens was still in charge that cost us in the end.

That's the problem he wasn't in the bag he hadn't given us a decision if he had of made his decision the pursuit of Prince wouldn't have happened..

Like I said until Potter refused to release Miller he still had the chance to sign, Potter closed the Miller door and Prince went to brisbane and to be honest think that was a deal already sorted just needed a reason for Gold Coast to release him and think he used us to gain that release

The Prince situation still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I can understand why we went for Prince but it looks like he used us to secure a better deal in the NRL. As a player I really rate him but as a person he's up there with the Judas's for me.

I understand players need to make as much as they can while they can but like you how Prince and his Agent behaved leaves a bitter taste..

If we did get Miller how long would it take to get a Visa and would he actually get one ??
