The level of trolling really has nosedived in recent weeks hasn't it.
Ahh well, only 5 months to the new season.

February 2011 : HULL KR: Craven Park will be 'unrecognisable' in six months – Mike Smith. Rovers announced they hoped work on the east stand extension will start within the next two weeks.
"Misi has got a real hunger to play at the top level again and we're glad he'll be doing that with us," said Smith.

| barista, I don't need to explain anything. I know how much work was put into the project by the Council and the NHS, and how much it cost these organisations; lest we forget, tax payers money written off. If the old regime had been committed to the Boulevard project, which was a whisper away from becoming a reality, then it would have happened. Like I say hindsight speaks volumes.

| barista, I have had plenty of spats with Smithy over those 'blips'. Mind you, he has Rhinosarous skin! The crazy thing is that the instances you recount (I am sure you do so with great relish) didn't have as much effect on the season as I and many others envisaged. Perhaps FC ought to have a few 'blips' then they might overtake Rovers in the league Lol!

So you are saying the reason the Boulevard scheme didn't happen was that the old board weren't committed to it, yet they allowed their CEO to have a project team, negotiate a deal with the NHS, go public in the press to say the final draft was being completed and the lease being ready to sign off. And nothing to do with this as reported in the HDMdecision by Hull City Council's cabinet leaves a question mark over separate proposals by Hull FC and the city's primary care trust, NHS Hull, to open a new £700,000 health and lifestyle centre at the ground. Under the joint initiative, Hull FC also want to relocate all of its current training facilities to the club's spiritual home. Both the rugby club and the health trust had been keen to occupy the site immediately. However, the favoured option of the council's cabinet now envisages a long-term mixed development including facilities for both the club and the trust as well as a new 1,100-place Academy school"
Oh dear. Poor poor effort I 'm afraid, you really need to up your game.
1) FC and the NHS wanted to do the project. The Council decided not too.
2) Your original trollage on here that Rule was apoplectic about moving away from Brantingham has been shown up as bollox as he was working on a deal to move away from Brantingham years ago.

| Hmmm! Have to raise my game do I? Don't think so.
If you read my post again you will see I make reference to the fact the Boulevard project had mileage in it and had progressed to the fund-crunching stage. However, it was at that point when FCs Board started to move the goal posts not the Council. The Council suggested building a school on the site as a SOLUTION, but this was used as the reason why FC withdrew from the project. Official channels have minuted the latter version as the HDM reported. All the parties involved know otherwise. It will all come out in the wash in memoirs or hopefully earlier thro FOI.
One other thing, don't put words in my mouth. It was you who said Rule wouldn't sanction ANY move away from Brantingham, not me!!!! My wind-up remark clearly alludes to Rule not being happy over the decision to move NOW.
I can go into a fuller account of the reasons why a SOLUTION was sought but

I think you're going to have to, otherwise it all looks like made-up rubbish TBH. Can't see the Council standing by and allowing themselves to be blamed in public for the deal going south if the real story was different.

Doesn't seem to correlate at all with the reasoning for a school that I was given by the then leader of the City Council when I met him to ask if the fans could have the seats from the old Boulevard, It was the Councils decision not the clubs come on Councillor get a grip! Oh asnd its Mrs Barista if you don't mind!
