My view of Craig Hall is that he is not good enough to get in the starting line up on a consistent basis going on his past performances. Well, he might as well get a shot at the moment because Horne has been gash recently and cannot justify his place.

But for those of you who in the past have said things along the line of "how can dropping him make him better? It will damage his confidence, he needs to stay in the starting line up to improve", all I can say is look at Chris Thorman. We play him despite his awful performances, and he hasn't improved. In fact I reckon his confidence is worse. SL is too important to waste spots on players that need to find their confidence which could take weeks. If they don't have it, they should find it on loan or in the reserves.

Hall has to a degree been made a scapegoat by Agar.

Even during his tenure , Peter Sharp openly criticised Hall in the media for various failings - not the best way to nurture young talent IMO.

Maybe they were just taking the lead from Kath Hetherington who evidently had some disparaging opionions of Hull born players .

I like Hall but if he comes back to Hull this week and plays he will not make any difference to our team. Some people talk him up like he's a world beater, he's got a hell of a lot to learn. I'm glad he got the chance to go to Widnes and compete in a final.

Not quite. Sharp correctly pointed out after a game at Harlequins that missed goal kicks were the difference between winning and losing. It was the game in 2007 were we lost 28-30 and Hall missed 4 from 6 conversions.

Last week G Horne has a worst game than I have ever seen Hall have at centre, the next week what hapeens he keeps his place in the 13.

In fact I think he was asked if the missed kicks cost them and he agreed that as we missed 4 from 6 (at least 2 of which were fairly simple) that they had cost us. He certainly didn't say anything like "Hall cost us the game".

Thought I'd give you a report card on Hall, he's been very good for us (I know it's a lower division) but considering your current plight I'm suprised he couldn't get into the team. Very quick, great pair of hands and a superb goal kicker.

oh yes he has, hall has been brilliant since his loan, and i am sure that like me there are many chemics fans who wish he was still with us, best of luck for the future craig and i hope to see you back with us one day.

it sounds a good combo,hall and penny?both the right age,plenty of pace,admit they are a bit raw,but i wouldn't say no to kevin penny coming next season.at the right price/salary.raynor and calderwood are not getting any younger,and penny is english too.what does anyone else think?
