If Manu can apply to come off quota during the last year of his contract then surly he can apply in November of this year, which would then mean we have an extra spot fof next year.

I think he cant officially come off it until that contract expires though according what ive read on here meaning that Nov 2010 would be when he can. If its not that way and he can come off when he applies and during his last year of a contract then that changes things drastically.

Not a problem, my opinions differ with many on here, especially when it comes to the professionalism of the running of the club. It's down to experience, if you've only ever worked in one area/arena than you have different perceptions than if you've had more varied experiences, doesn't make either wrong or right.

I can see the argument for him not revealing all as people's careers are being discussed, but if that's the case, surely a better answer would have been

"We are considering the options for our quota players for 2010 and will make an announcement in due course"

No indication of the status of the quota, full or not and doesn't leave anything open to interpretation. Stating that the quota is not full leads to threads like this discussing Moa, Berrigan, Manu et al.

Are people confusing the Quota and the Federation/ Non Federation classifications.
