I'd say the gap between the two is the largest it's been since 2004, twenty years ago.
Of course, then, rovers were nothing more than a very average second-tier side, so we weren't facing each other anyway. Think if we had been drawn together in the cup that year we could possibly have put 90 pts on them! (we were absolutely flying at times that year).

Unfortunately Friday looks the polar opposite. This looks like decent-level SL side at home against championship-standard opponents, well not far off. I fear the worst, I really do.

Last year you beat us at CP after a 0-40 walloping at your place. So any win for Rovers will do for me.

This year does feel different though. Rovers have gone from strength to strength but you have lost your best players and pretty much replaced them with bargain bucket hopefuls.

I'm sure you will get up for the game and you will certainly have to.

It would be helpful as we seem to constantly be down on numbers with injuries and suspensions.

The two games they were here, we got our only victory against London and our best performance against Catalan.

Russell got injured didn't he? I imagine with Dudson going to Salford, wire will want bullock as cover so doubt we can get him back

If Ligi gets off without suspension, then that will be our first bit of luck for the week. We're due some luck from the disciplinary board. They've hit us hard so far this season.. and we're still owed from the debacle of the Nu Brown sending off at Warrington.

They've got a bloody good team down there at Caravan park this year, so we're gonna have to be good if we want to have a chance in the game. It will come down to the players on the pitch and how much they want the victory

I called for that spine 3 weeks ago with Houghton to loose man. Houghton’s knackered, Balmforth should be in the squad. TS is an idiot if he can’t see the obvious.

I said years ago that he was rubbish and that we shouldn't have extended his contract. Most on here defended him though.

He's a liability with his discipline and errors, he isn't an especially strong ball carrier, and whilst he does occasionally have a good game he's very inconsistent. He would be very high on my list of players that I'd like to see released.

Really dumb offloader as well that puts us under a lot of unnecessary pressure
