Because people naturally watch the attacking team more, you won't really notice that calderwood comes infield more often then most wingers to tackle on 2nd and 3rd, and because tackling seems to tire players more than driving - wouldn't that suggest he's not lazy?

Where as Raynor doesn't play as defensive but drives more and would balance this out.

i saw a team tonight who have no confidence, and that's why they lost. Well, let me tell you they should be proud of the effort, and they should go away confident that they can beat anyone. The effort was excellent, and with the rub of the green they'd have won. Forward pass? My ar5e. The only difference was Paul Crooke, and without him we'd have won.

What I want to see now is the same effort every week. I want to see that effort with a solid game plan. We have the ability, our club is better, our fans are better, we are the superior team. We need a team on the pitch to match this. They've proved they have the passion when it counts, so lets see this every week and I'm sure we'll turn it around.

Hull did themselves proud tonight. As a Hull fan that's all I want, passion and enthusiasm from the players. Ok we were robbed, but at least the loss wasn't due to the players not responding.

TBF to Paul Cooke in the aftermatch presentations he had the decency to say that summed up Hulls luck this year.

The lack of effort through the year has come from certain individuals who we are hoping will be moved along to make way for players who are hungry and have experience of winning and knowing what it takes to be a winner. Judging by the fact that our forward pack, without 4 props, comfortably matched if not beat a top 4 full strength outfit suggests that with the addition of some real quality forwards and a top class half back we will hopefully be back challenging near the top next year.

Why all this trouble and strife?

I think the quota/cap is about to bear fruit with teams no longer being 'top 4', 'top 6', 'Top 8' etc as anyone can jump up in the playoffs if they buy right.
Look at Saints and Leeds this year they are not the untouchables they have been.

Very true although Saints are I believe now struggling as a result of a few injuries which goes to show no team can cope without key players for Long.
