Everyone remember that massive Seymour thread before he played and how i said he played in a side with the lowest points for to make the playoffs (Cronulla) how he went to New Zealand and did nothing.
How i thought he was a poor signing and you needed better.

agree 100%, he has certainly put his body on the line for FC over the years, and done very well out of it too, it's time for the sentimentality to stop, AP clearly sees we need better at 6 and 7.

I back Pearson on this, Seymour hasn't been good enough (perhaps the club should have got the opinion of Horatio before we signed him?).
If we are getting a new 6 & 7 for next year then his days are numbered anyway - but maybe he might just feel he has a point to prove, that is if PG doesnt drop him.

With hindsight he wasn't the right man we needed (again, shame we didn't consult world famous player scout Horatio) and either he puts up or he is gone, that's life, that's sport, that's business.

I fear the worst tonight, but then again I didn't expect much this season anyway.

PG will be judged over the next 2 years plain and simple, and IF we get the right 6 & 7 next season Seymour will be quickly forgotten.

I also suspect he is getting paid a decent wack of the salary cap?

Regardless of whether Horatio was right, it's harsh to heap all the blame onto Seymour. If he's never had the creative game that we've been lacking, he can't suddenly make it happen. What it does show was the intent of the previous board and their "limitations".

not so much a know it all, but i'm also a Sharkie fan too for my sins, so knew him only too well. Compare him to Carney now, huge difference.

I was a little bit weary last season when he was playing for NZW. He got injuried and then lost his place to a young kid. Says it all really.

Doesn't really say that much when the 'young kid' is as good as in this case.

You're nearly as good at spin as James Rule. That 'young kid' is Shaun Johnson, one of the brightest young talents in Rugby League.

Seymour was terrible against Catalans and we are the lowest scorers in the top ten in Super League. Things are clearly not working so lets see how we get on with Heremaia at half back.

Seymour has occasionally looked handy this season but is just not good enough.

Tbf we haven't been a good attacking side since 2004 really, when we used to score tries for fun. But even more so lately, we are one of the worst attacking sides in the league. Were most teams can beat teams by 40 plus winning margin. Ours is more like 20 and that for us seems good. When was the last time we won say, 46 - 6? (barring beating Widnes who were bottom of the league at the time). Never mind two or three times in a season. We just can't seem to do it anymore.
