If every player put in the effort That whiting does each game and read the game as well as he does,we would be top of the league.hardly ever misses a tackle and must of had more interceptions than any other player. We all know he lacks pace but he'd be in my starting 17 every week.

Thats why you'll never coach a RL team.

I've never have subscribed to the sun shines out of whitings backside club. I've always appreciated though what he can provide for us and how he's got us out of a hole by covering so many positions to high standards.
But these last 2yrs he's just got better. He's at his best in the back row n shouldn't be used anywhere else now.
Thought 1st 2or 3games he was pants actually, but has been outstanding since. 1thing he or westy haven't had enough credit for is the protection they've given our young centres at times. Crooks owes a lot to whiting this yr. Wigan obviously targeted crooks via Farrell but whiting looked after him all game.
Always worth a spot in my team.
