| Quote: Mrs Barista "Without having to wade through all the poop on the VT, does anyone know what the status is of the plans of Wakefield and Cas?'"
YEP
Wakefield have just had the PI the result will be known end of March early April, the planning Inspector submits his report on the 25th January. IF passed work will begin on the development this summer not sure when the stadium would be complete smart money is for the start of 2014.
Cas
Still not got rid on Weldon Road, a supermarket was reportedly interested but it looks like they are looking elsewhere so there is no movement at GH at the moment, maybe a Cas fan could shed more light on it but neither club is not in control of their destiny at the moment.
Wakefield are putting covered seating on part of the Western terrace, they putting a roof over the North Terrace (behind the posts opposite the hospitality stand. They putting seats in front of the hospitality area, this will increase the capacity and provide coverage nd seats in line with expectation until/if the new ground is built. Work is starting iminently and will be done by the second home game by the look of things.

how could each team play a home game every other week?'"
There is more than one day in a week you know.
Would take a bit of working out, but not impossible.
That aside, are you trying to claim that ROvers didn't take a lease up out of concern for the logistics of running the required number of games?

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |
|
| Quote: WormInHand "What a ridiculous question. Craven Park, as well as being full of Rovers fans, has the worst view, the most exposure to the elements, the most unhygienic loos, weeks-old waste trampled underfoot, and a plastic stand through which one's foot can plunge at any time exposing the sheer drop beneath. Unpleasant and unhealthy. Anyway, Wakey has nice chips.'"
it only has the worst view to the scum fans we put in there all other clubs fans can behave themselves so can watch the match close to the pitch you lot get the south stand so your bottles dont reach the pitch

| any ground that is open to the elements is classed as terrible to me, so that includes headingley, belle vue, odslum and caravan park, as for the worst view it has to be belle vue due to the shallow steps

In peter we have belief
In our team we have pride: |
|
| craven park by a country mile. They put us put miles away from the pitch, charge us more than they do anyone else to go in there and even when its on tele we can only see the back of the big screen. It's great when we win there though

| Quote: Mrs Barista "The other named party at this stage being Hull Training, who are part of Hull City Council.'"
Yep, most of the money being borrowed is to cover the education and business start-up facilities. I'm not going to naively suggest that locating them at NCP is not partially a politically-motivated decision to kill two birds with one stone, but on the other hand it would go beyond cynicism to suggest that Hull Training is merely some sort of council front organization to hide a donation to HKR.
Quote: Mrs Barista "Not sure why you're bringing FC into this - my response was to a direct question on the worst ground in the league that highlighted Craven Park's ownership arrangements. The risk point is a good one. The SMC bears the risk of managing the KC and its income streams, including FC's (£600k+ p.a.). In KR's case, the loan the council are taking out is underwritten by the council, so the council bears the risk.'"
For context. And because this is a eyebrow-arched bunfight where we use facts to mislead. D'oh.

It would also beggar belief that that Hull KR fan, and Councillor Phil Webster, cabinet member for finance would be in a position to say
The SMC is run by the Allams. Can't see them subsidising FC, can you? They want a merger and have sunk money into Rovers.
Quote: Mild Rover "While I don't doubt that the rental agreement is favourable, whose opinion did it represent? 'Peppercorn' is a slightly informal term - I assume it must be a quote from minutes of a meeting? Is/was it in the public domain?'"
Karl Minns, then leader of the Council. I'll email you the document if you want to PM me.

He did then lend us £1million - but in fairness he does still allow you to play at his stadium.
Regarding Minns' quote - I believe you, I was just curious where it came from.

IIRC Allam did specifcally mention a merger on one of his infamous rambling radio interviews.

The toffee-apple one, the coma one, or the wives going round supermarkets one? Or did he deliver all those gems in one go? Hard to keep up.
