Who cares, they're the champions and have been for the past 3 years! The strength in depth is one of the reason they are champions. I'll be happy aslong as we're loaning players from Leeds (When needed of course)

Not having a go here, but did you see the game at Salford? One of our academy lads was thrown in at the deep end on the wing and was found wanting.

Doing that to someone as integral as dummy half would be a huge mistake in the long run.

Pat, Jack and even the young un Danny Bloom are so far away from the hooking role in the 1st team.. ( Same goes for Danny Nicklas and lee Williams at 6 and 7 for the 1st team) I am not at all putting a fork thru them now.. BUT with another year in the 20's maybe just maybe they can step up and not a minute sooner..

are we doing challenge cup deadlines this year can't remember, if so he wouldn't be able to play technically in this round, mind you not that you lads ever bother about the rules



in all seriousness though, from what I've seen of him mcshane is a handy little player and will do you a good job as he's a lively hooker with good skills.

McShane is a good young hooker and we should be pleased to have him at such short notice. It's a win/win scenario as we get useful cover whilst Berro is injured and Leeds get one of the young players gaining SL experience. There is a suggestion next year that Buderus may leave and Leeds might promote McShane to the 17 and share the hooking role with Diskin so he must be highly thought of.

It's good news, where he comes from is irrelevant.

If I were a Leeds I would too. For a start it would free up a quota spot and Diskin imo has performed better than Buderus since he arrived.

Spot on. The guy is a great prospect, but at this point he would certainly benefit from regular SL game time.

Regarding if the player in this case "Paul mcshane" be eligable to play, he would not be.

There is a dead line in which each club has to put through their desired squad, a bit like the champions league of football.

If a player is to become injured leaving no sufficient cover in that position, a team may bring in another player, if;

1. He is not cup tied/ has permission from his parent club.
2. Is registered on their books
3. The RFL may choose to investigate and make a decision.

IF the player has already been registered with the Leeds Rhinos regarding the challange cup, it would be a definate no.

Looking forward to the game tomorrow, close game, just hope our lads start from the off, because leeds are a side that like to go for the jugular from the off, although giving that both teams are leaking in tries all over the park at the moment, it should make it a spectacular advert for rugby league.

I think we have enough mentally, and of course physically to edge the rhinos tomorrow.
