Wow someone else who actually watched the game!!!!!

I'm just a Hull fan.
But I always try to take an objective view when watching Hull as it's so easy to get caught up in the emmotion after a game and just shoot off at the hip.
Some people can be be a bit touchy and over defensive some times without digesting the facts first.

Whiting is one of our most consistent, solid players and because he made a couple of mistakes in todays game you label him cr@p...You my friend no feck all about rugby!! Unbelievable

Thought Whiting had a shocker 2nd half though. Should have let the ball run out into touch and left at least two high balls bounce.

And Horne again had a good game IMO, but still cannot long kick for toffee!

I thought Whiting had a poor game today by his standards, I just don't think he's a fullback.I think his lack of pace really lets him down in that position by the time he retreats to get the ball the opposition team are on top of us.

On Horne I thought he played well today.

Not sure about that, it bounced up and if Meli could have caught it, there would have been no stopping him.

The back 3 all made crucial errors which cost us.

What he should have done - and I know it's easy to say this from the comfort of my sofa - is hold back until Meli took the ball and then tackle him into Row Z. The ball was so close to the line that it wouldn't have taken much to get him in touch.

Your right much easier said than done.

I watched Meli score 4 past us last year, he is super strong.

Like Kosh said, either left it or waited for Meli to take it and push him in touch. Looked like it was going out to me, though.

50/50, cant take the risk, people on here would have gone nuts if he left it Meli reeled the ball in and went under the posts.

As a fullback one of the duties should the ball come your way is to defuse the bomb on the 5th tackle,whiting failed miserably,no speed and a lack of communication with other 2 players,really poor from whiting today

Oh I know it's much easier said than done, but I'd have preferred he had tried and failed rather than stand so far in touch and tamely give possession away. Still - easy to look at in hindsight, not so easy at the sharp end.

The first none take is down to Whiting, the second is down to Briscoe. Communication is a two way street. I also think Washbrook plays at the ball. Definitely not a tackle in the air for me.

We twice made the error of letting the ball bounce within our 10 yard line from an attacking kick when we had people in position to catch it. Not going for it shows the opposition that you are afraid of dropping it and they will kick it all game.

Whiting made a mistake on a 50/50 ball when he stood on the line, unlucky, in hindsight he should have let it go or waited for Melli to get it and push him out, but he had to make a split decison.

Whiting had an unusually poor game today, whoever wanted him as our full back, it showed today, you was wrong!

Some players are not allowed to make mistakes, and we all know Standee is not Whitings biggest fan.

One of Hornes better games today. One of Whitings poorer games today. To speak about two of our longest serving players that way is laughable at best. Hope you re-read your OP and cringe

Thought Horne had a good game today, is involved everytime we do something good in attack, and is excellent in defence. His long kicking is poor, but then it always has been, and the ball shouldn't be anywhere near him in our half on the last tackle with Whiting, Westy and Houghton around anyway.

One off game and you want rid? Obviously you are upset, but that's not the answer.
