So a second/third hand report from someone else who spent the whole match counting. Does it get more accurate than that?

Still nobody turns up when Sundays are done and Fridays are more lucrative with the corporate clients. This was shown last Sunday where the away crowd was about the same and half the corporate boxes and west stand were empty.

There is a more logical explanation about why it looked more empty than usual (unless VoR's friend actually did count every single person). It was raining, heavy rain too so people who usually sit at the bottom of the stands which isn't covered much moved further on up, over the roof, so the stands (it was very noticeable from East looking towards South) looked only half full. Usually people spread out, leave a sit or two between them and strangers but everyone packs together when it rains. Just an observation.

Our last sub 10k attendance in regular season games was against Warrington in July 2006 - ironically the last of the thirteen match winning sequence and also the last of Richard Horne's record equalling eleven match try scoring run.

We've had 97 successive five figure attendances in the regular season rounds.

I don't think attendances are 100% accurate as a few weeks ago the BBC website and the 2 rugby papers all have a different attendance for a Hull game

Why on earth would FC announce more fans at the game than there is, we have to give half of the money above 7500 to the SMC don't we.

Saying that I am missing the first game of the season home and away tonight but that is due to the fact I am in London or I would be there.

That says more about the BBC and the two rugby papers to me than accurate attendance. Hull tend to put the attendance in the match report. Not difficult to find.

I don't think they deliberately fiddle the numbers, just that they include every pass holder, sponsor etc who doesn't attend, count every cheerleader, programme seller etc and announce that.

there was no way 10,200 bums on seats last week, but nor are the club inventing numbers up.

I could play the devils advocate and say "Lets take the turn style figures and then plus the difference on with missing pass holders".......nah don't think that will work.
