Rubbish. Utter rubbish.
Is Tony Martin telling him how to catch a ball or make a tackle or hit it up???
Will Sharp was fecking pants last season and his improvement this season (which has been outstanding) is down to the coaching staff and mostly him. Well done Will Sharp!!!'"
So a winger can't be improved by playing outside of, and forming a partnership with, an established centre? Really? It's obviously not the only factor, but to say it's had no effect is, well, utter rubbish.

| Last season Sharpy was stuck on a bench for 75 mins thrown on for the last 5 mins by Agar.
This year Gentle starts him with a experienced centre inside him which as given more confidence.

| Its all down to confidence. Anyone who knows rugby could see last year that he had promise, but his confidence was shot to pieces and he was scared of making a mistake. Martin will have had an impact but Sharp seems like he just needed someone to put an arm round him and tell him how good he is, rather than publicly humiliate him after every error.

Not [iutter[/i rubbish. Definatley being coached better and got a lot of confidence, but of corse Martin is having some positive influence on him.

| Quote ="Baboon"You could see the influence that Gleeson had over Sharp when he was here. Esp in positioning and he was always talking to him, keeping him in the loop so to speak. Even Lynn played better on the Wing with Berrigan as his centre. Martin is a fantastic signing. We've improved 2 positions by signing him.'"
Exactly. Will's confidence and consequential staggering transformation has been nurtured by him knowing he's not going to be left high and dry alone. Martin provides communication, reassurance and most importantly a reliable presence. Gleeson provided the same, as would any competent experienced centre.
We haven't got a spare one of those, though, and I worry madly if I think Martin may have taken an injury.
We actually saw the same scenario when Briscoe was slated when he first got called up to England and was left flailing by himself with no support from his centre.
