As good as Houghton is GOING to be,he still has flaws...Against Wakey some of his passing was dire from acting half,cost us some momentum in some plays and when he scoots,he doesnt look for support.

Was not there so don't know how today worked but I have always maintained playing Horne and Long together with Obst at hooker, just the question of who starts out of him and Houghton but at least Horne at fullback is another option.

I meant that if Obst and Long worked at 6&7 then Phelps could come off the bench to fullback and Horne and Obst shuffle up.

Would rather start with Horne and Long at 6&7 though tbh.

Horne at FB is not another option for me. Phelps or Whiting only at 1 for me.

Whiting was poor last week so if he was again then maybe it's worth giving Turner a shot? Just a thought.

Whiting doesn't play poorly very often, he's also a lot stronger in defence than turner however imo turner offeres a bit more in attack and sounds like he took his try well today so its a tough choice

Indeed, credit where it's due after a win in a game where we should have expected to win following an abysmal defeat last week. It's an indication of how low we are as a club and how little ambition some fans have

Great comeback which showed character from the team but this doesn't change my opinion that Agar is holding us back.

I'm not sure how giving credit for a win in isolation shows lack of ambition. Taking it as a marker for the season as a whole then yes, daft deluded unabitious s0ds, but I don't think anyone has said that

I'm really happy with the win, could never for the life of me want us to loose. I do not think Agar is the right man for the job, but I'd be very happy if this game was the start of being proved wrong.

). I believe we're not harnessing what we have.
The thing for me is that we don't have the grunt up front to go with a forward based game especially with Ogre out. We do have some very good backrowers in Manu and Westy who can cause trouble wide all day long and 2 very good wingers (Sharp was very tidy today for me). With Obst and Houghton buzzing round the ruck and keener support players behind the likes of Lauaki, Moa and Manu we could, to use an Agarism, give it a real dig. This is the frustration for me - unfulfilled potential of what could be a very handy attacking side.
