| I used to love going to Boulevard when I lived in London and we'd come up for the weekend. Eventually got a pass when we moved back up North in 2000 and admit to shedding a tear on the last night there. The bloody bagpipes!

Woah, steady on, it was only a link
Seriously though, glad you enjoyed it. I must admit I do like reading things like that. I have photos of the old Craven Park taken after our last game was played there and can share many of the emotions on here of leaving your 'old home'. I remember first going with my grandad and sitting in the 'best stand' and as the action moved from one end of the ground to the other I found myself gliding along the seats, benches in those days, in between lots of grown men and when we eventually scored I couldn't see cos they'd all stood up!!

1983 league decider at the Boulevard. About 20,000 in there and we hammered em. Great night, as was the 82 game against the tourists

| barrow was the last game of the 1983 season. played on a sunday at 3pm and crowd was a 'poor' 17k. it was the game that FC had to win to secure the title. however barrow were bottom of the league and we could have beaten them at the time with 10 men. the real decider as the poster suggests was the night game against rovers the week before when we hammered them 21-3? crowd was 20k plus - our only one over 20k in the 80s at the boulevard.
my top 5 boulevard games
1. the 1982 aussie tourists
2. the above title decider
3. hammering leeds 35-5 when they came to hull unbeaten in 1982. 17 year old lee crooks bagging a hat trick
4. beating leeds in our first season in superleague 1998
5. hammering widnes in 1991? they came over as league leaders and gary pearce destroyed them, davies, offiah et al

NO, I meant the Friday night game against rovers. Whoever won was pretty much assured of winning the league. I think we scored 5 tries to 1 and won something like 21 - 3 from memory. The Boulevard was rocking that night

| I only went to the Boulevard once (I'm a Bradford fan) as an away fan back in 1999, I think where we drew on a cold Thursday night. I think it was the week after our Challenge Cup Final victory. What a place to go.
I was only 11 at the time but all I seem to remember from my visit was that every person I came across was a mid 40's ed off bloke who hated everything apart from his club.

Have a look on Hull FC TV, a great night with a fantastic atmosphere. I well remember the 1982 game against the Aussie tourists as another game with an incredible atmosphere.

| Apart from the games already mentioned there was the 6-1 win over New Hunslet in 1978-79 to secure the 100% season. Pretty sure there was over 12,000 there that night for a Division Two game!
