The conviction for assault last year was more serious imo and we should have got rid then.

I certainly do not condone what Raynor is alleged to have done, but if you really think he was on mega bucks playing RL, then you need to get a reality check.

I've got friends that earn 10-15k per year doing pretty boring jobs, they dont feel the need to suppliment their income illegally. Raynor was on a heck of a lot more than that.

Im not sure it does, Do you believe that if Raynor was 2 or 3 years younger and we didnt have the likes of Briscoe and Hall at the club the decision would have been made right now? Raynor has had off the field problems throughout his career and I have no doubt on some of these ocassions the club would have been within there rights to terminate his contract or even if not, he has had plenty of contract extensions. I think its just a case with everything considered, his age, recent injuries, the younger players who can play his position and of course his court case probaablly the biggest factor I just feel the club think he is simply not worth having on a contract anymore and its in the clubs best interests, I dont think its a moral decision and had he had more to offer Im not sure the decision would have been made.

I do not know the full reasons why this has happened but I want to thank him for the enjoyment of watching him play and wish him well as he has been a great player for us. Well IMHO anyway. Also seemed anice guy on the few occasions I chatted with him. We can all make silly mistakes

With respect, racially aggravated assault and an alledged 14 counts of counterfeiting and fraud can hardly be constituted as silly mistakes.

He avoided a sentance the lasttime he was in court by the skin of his teeth and he goes and does something else....he deserves all he gets.

FWIW...I thought he was a Jason Robinson wannabe and didnt have half the talent.....injury prone and a liability in the air as well as his bloody off-loads in our 2omt area.

Another bad apple out of the club....a good player yes...but not a great player for our club.

are you serious he didnt have to many problems under the high ball, and when is being able to offload in the tackle a weakness iff you watch sts/leeds etc its a major plus unfortunately over the last 3 or 4 seasons we have had nobody to take advantage of his skill in that area, think back to Crooks,Knocker, and players like that, its what made them special we can all run and put the ball up our jumper, plus i thought he always gave 100%

Agree with all that - I can't remember a game when he didn't put in the effort. The only disappointment in terms of his game was the number of injuries he picked up, other than that Raynor has been a very good player for FC. He neither got the service a winger of his class deserved (Cooke aside) nor, as you say, did anyone look to back up his good offloading game. Shame it seems he's been a liability off the pitch.

Agreed. Up until the injury to his toe Raynor was, IMO, the best British winger around.

Errr yes i am serious........he had a lot of problems under high ball... a weakness we have had for a while.....i can think of numerous occasions he has been out-jumped....there is a rea when to off-load and its not our 20mtr area whilst trying to clear lines......what has knocker and crooks got to do with raynor...i know what your trying to say but i was never fussed on Raynor and thought he was over-rated but we all have our opinions on players.......i dont think he will be missed in all honesty.

He did most things pretty well including taking a high ball. He was reliable and a grafter. He scored some good tries but for me never quite lived up to his hype though that's not his fault. Perhaps his biggest on field fault was not running straight. Maybe if he'd gone straight in more ways than one he'd have been a better player and still here!

dont talk bollox, he was on a whole lot more than most ordinary folk thats for sure and I have a lot of staff and friends on a lot less than he was a year that dont feel the need to allegedly boost their income with ill gotten gains...
