| Quote: *1865* "Let's get one thing straight about yesterday, the forwards were on top and our halves got us to a 16-0 lead. Our forwards then capitulated after two scuffles meaning they lost there heads. Wakey then ran riot.
Why couldn't our forwards stop Moore offloading the ball?
Two of there tries came direct from errors by Talanoa. Why are we so reliant on Joe Westerman both in attack and defence?
Too easy to blame Rankin & Miller for yesterday, I expect Radford will do the same.'"
I'm not blaming him for the defeat, the whole team is to blame.
What I am saying, is. Against a poor team, and with the space and time he was given, he did nothing to suggest he will be the answer we all crave. IMO.

Rankin was poor, Shaul was poor. Miller wasn't the only one that failed to create. Our wingers got pushed out of touch twice because Shaul threw out stupid balls when there was no overlap.

| Let's hope so, I said at the start of the year that Hull should have gone all out to sign Sam Powell. He is a player to build a team around.

Yes I know, I sat through it. Like I said I'm not blaming Miller, just pointing ou that he hasn't shown (me) anything to suggest he's got what it takes. Rankin on the other hand looks like he may have.

Add Talanoa to that list .
He made a great break and then just threw the ball over his shoulder to no one !
Wakey got possession , went up the other end and scored .

He's shown he'll be a decent halfback one day, but that's not really what we need now. Rankin gets praised but is equally poor, he gets away with it because of his try scoring.
Rankin was Radford's signing so he'll stay, but who we going to get to play alongside him? Wire and (rumour has it) Saints will be in the market for what we need too. Basically, we'll get third choice. Looking at the OOC players for this year and even next, they're either unrealistic or no better than what we've got.

| We should go all out and try and get Dobson, make him a offer he can't refuse, buy him a racehorse if we have too, another target should be Kyle Eastmond.
We should also get Cooke to come for a few hours a week to coach HTW and Reece Dean.
This season has gone, I still think we might scrape into the playoffs, but once again we are looking for another halfback.
Really depressing.

| Would be better giving game time to HTW or Jordan Abdul?

I must admit I'd really like to see HTW in action. Give him some game time to see exactly where he is at in his development. Not this week against Wigan though. That could destroy his career before it's even started.

| Wasn't pretty by either TBF and I would be pointing the finger at both just as equally.
Again though we find ourselves blaming half backs when inevitably it is a team game and stupid decisions again let us down. J Crookes was stupid to kick out, we didn't need him to do it and gained no advantage by him doing so, infact that moment for me changed the game.
I'd also be giving Shaul some stick too, takes far too many wrong options and was only helped by the fact Roby is blind as a bat that we ended up scoring the third try.
Poor teem effort all around, felt Ellis tried to lead from the front but even in the end he started to lose his composure. Somebody will be the fall guy and I think it will deffo be one of the half backs, more then likely Miller out for Horne in. The ironic thing here is we are replacing one mistake prone player with another.
Starting to think we will benefit more by going backwards before we go forwards, a whole lot of this squad STILL needs clearing out.

| Miller will get dropped, it's the easy thing to do. Replaced by somebody who's been no better than average for the last 7 years.
Also throwing HTW in would ruin the kid.

I'll mention the kicking game then - at least we're in no doubt that Miller's kicking game is as bad as Horne's now.
16-0 up was no great shakes - we should have created far more particularly with total dominance for the first 15 mins of the second half. One of the main reasons for no overlaps was because neither half got anywhere near the line before they passed the ball - not a single defender pulled out of place.
You've invested much in Miller but he hasn't got what it takes more's the pity. It's obvious. Horne and Rankin on Friday - no long term answer there for sure (probably not Rankin either) but we won't be any worse.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

What exactly have I invested?
Still don't think the Rankin & Miller partnership has had long enough, if you think yesterday would have been any better had Horne played, you're completely wrong, and I'd point you to the Widnes game as proof of that.
