Our problems, while not quite as you state them IMO, are more immediate, pressing and, yes worrying.
I still think it is better for Hull FC if City get up though.
Wharfey - the PL cash cow is getting fatter and the parachute payments much bigger. Getting up, this year in particular, would be massive for City and is probably the Allams' one shot at significantly mitigating the losses they've incurred.
Any referendum would require him to offer to [ibuy[/i the stadium, with actual real money - rather than accepting it as the council's contribution to his project (because that was realistic!
). If that happens, then the council gets a bit of cash, is freed of any potential liabilities and you've still got a long-term tenancy agreement. I think there are too many obstacles to overcome (agreeing a price, not least), but I don't think it'd impact on you too badly if did happen.
