Wouldn't you be if you'd spent the last three years arrogantly insisting that Rich Agar was a top class coach despite the avalanche of evidence to the contrary?

Whether it was Kath making him say all those things or not, he's inextricably linked himself with a failed regime.

Most people I've been talking too are saying Peter Wilkinson is once again the money behind Pearson.

Not sure if this is true or not but been told Pearson owns a piece of land near the KC that the allams would need to build the sporting village.

Why would he lie about it? If he was fronting it for this Wilkinson or for Allam then why wouldn't he say, if they don't want their names revealed for whatever reason he'd just say he was 'heading up a consortium' or something similar.

If he's outright lied about it being all his own money then that's a pretty hard thing to keep secret, and as soon as it came out he'd lose all goodwill from the fans.

Surely he is aware of Agars results and he was present yesterday, I believe sometimes it is better just to say nothing at all, unless AP believes the faithful are stupid!! He is hardly going to be embraced by the faithful coming out with a statement like that after yesterday is he ?

Whatever Pearson does or says in the next month as far as players and coaching staff should be taken with a pinch of salt imho.

But a lot of people will not take it with a pinch of salt, the faithful will hang on to every word AP says as they are desperate for change after 3 years of tripe...IMO AP has to choose his words very carefully, once fans stop attending it is very difficult to get them back.

He was interviewed at the KC today.

Said that everybody blames the coach after a bad result and that we'll have a look at the end of the season. Mentioned some that Rich had suffered a little with under investment but that we already had some exciting recruitment in place for next year.

I wouldn't be so sure he'd give Agar a "glowing reference".

That would be my view. If I was Pearson, and if I had any intention of sacking Agar, I would be choosing my words very carefully. I sincerely hope he's just keeping things on an even keel until the end of the season, at which point he will take the action we all crave.

The one glimmer of hope is that he's talked about bringing success and getting the gates back up. Surely even an idiot could see that the season ticket sales will drop significantly if Agar stays in post.

Well I won't be getting one. I've hardly used my pass this season. I now have to travel 60 miles or so to get to a home game and it's just not worth it. If Agar is still in post, I'll save my money.

It's going to need some serious changes for me to get a pass again next season, more than just Agar going.

I don't think too much can be expected other than that, to be honest. The playing staff is all but sorted and the rest of the club isn't badly run. Whoever replaces Agar needs to be given time to undo the mess he's created.

The whole coaching setup needs to change, as well as our approach to juniors and development.

I agree, in the medium term. Our youth development has dropped off in terms of volume of late, and that needs addressing. I just doubt that AP will make such wholesale changes so early in the piece. I expect that, if he brings in a new Head Coach, he will be given time to assess the backroom set up and make changes accordingly.

agree, hands are pretty much tied as far as player recruitment goes, so however comes in will have to play with the hand he is dealt.

I'd agree with that, whoever comes in next needs to be able to restructure not only the senior squads coaching set up but also the youth development and progression. Think expecting AP to get rid of everyone lock stock and barrel at once would be asking too much and if he gets the right Head Coach in then they will be able to pinpoint the staff they want and need to get the club achieving success at all levels from Seniors down to the youth teams. Sadly this wont happen overnight but aslong as we make a start by appointing a top quality coach its a start and will be enough to give me hope & renew my pass.

Our lot are reluctantly going on Friday (pass holders), we will most definitely be throwing in the towel if Agar is not replaced next season.
Also I think if we get spanked on Friday the faithful may well let Pearson know their feelings, I reckon the chants will be heard again.
