If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |

You do have to wonder how a team that defended so strongly against both the Bulls and Giants can look so in the last couple of weeks.

Other teams have maybe caught our fitness levels up as we've picked up knocks?

Maybe. Leeds made our big men look slow and ponderous at times in the last couple of games maybe we are not adapting to the drier, faster pitches very well?

| Quote: Amadeo Avogadro "As would I. The more a player of Whiting's ability gets his hands on the ball, the better. I'd love to see him get a run in the middle of the park, but I fear he'll be wasted out on the wing for the rest of the season.'"
Thats why I would play Whiting at FB and Tansey at halfback.

I'd be happy with either, to be honest. Or, at least, happier than with him being stuck out on the wing. I'd prefer him at 6 or 13 though.

Is it a coincidence? Thats my challenge.'"
That was mainly down to the role Tansey played rather than anything Washy did in particular.
As mush as it seems to be unpopular on here I would play Tansey at 7 and Whiting at FB for the time being.

Without doubt. Huddersfield are a case in point in these areas.

I would do the same - Tansey needs his hands on the ball more in the circumstances we are currently in.

| I like Whiting at fullback but think Tansey needs to stay there as he does most of his damage by making runs into the line and he can still come and get the ball as much as he wants anyway.
Also with Yeaman not playing it would leave us short on centres and Turner and Hall in the centres is a defensive nightmare so I would keep Whiting there and play Tuffour with him. It will be a good chance to see Hall and Briscoe together also.
I think we should go into the game with a bit of freedom, Agar should tell them to utilise the extra pivot in Washy and chuck it around a bit. If we do I think we could win comfortably. If we get into an armwrestle then we might struggle. Personally I would take a leaf out of Leeds playbook and get it wide early and offload as much as possible.

It hasn't happened for about three years, but I suppose it's possible that tonight will be the first time.

Except in our own 20 when surrounded by defenders as we seem to like to do.

I'd say Tansey played a big role ball in hand but does anyone on here really know the impact Washy brings without the ball in hand in attack?

| I just hope C Hall doesn't play, no matter how many injuries we have. Would rather have a reserve forward stood on wing as a blocking mechanism than C Hall's defence. Hall concedes three tries for every try he scores, therefore he is a liability no team can afford!

| agars selection just baffles me totally, why o why play whiting on the wing when we have 2 youngsters waiting for a chance , yes he is a great player but he is never ever a winger , why play washy in the halfs when i cant think of one game him and horney have played well together, turner had two very strong games their and looked very strong , its the classic case of round pegs square holes . why play players eg whiting out of position just cos he is a good player , he needs his hands on the ball in the middle not stook defending on the wings , i asked james rule why we never blood youngsters en mass when faced with injuries , other teams do . yes they lose but we do and where are our kids . sat getting frustrated watching boring boring rugby and getting poached by the dark side . agar has to walk away soon for the good of the club. tonight i think we will get beat comfortably again and its a game we should be winning . i am totally fed up with excuses and agar .
