The only things Mcilorum has over Houghton is better in defence and the fact he plays for a better team.

Houghtons percieved poor distribution skills only come down to fatigue.

That's why it wouldn't suprise me to see McShane in an England shirt before Houghton,

I'm not saying he should play for England before Houghton, but cos he plays for Leeds if wouldn't suprise me.

Yer , I watch the highlights of that game and it looks like he's in for another good season for Saints . Both players have started well.

I dont think Houghton is 2nd best hooker in SL but he has certainly improved and for me will be fighting it out with Lunt and Macillorum for a spot in the Engalnd set up. Roby, Monaghan and Henderson are probably the best hookers in my eyes but not many hookers can provide the impact of Burrows and Robinson.

Think we are on about English Hookers here.Houghton is far better than Mcillorum,who,gets a fair bit of stick on the Wigan board and isnt very good tbh.

Roby and Burrow will be the England hookers imo.

Sums us up that doesnt it,playing a 7 at hooker or could play a 13 at hooker like they have in the past

I agree to an extent but Burrow played the last month or so as interchange hooker and will be playing that role for Leeds this year. He was awesome in that role in the GF.

Sorry I did mean English hookers, For me Roby is head and shoulders above the rest. But imo Houghton is 2nd. burrows is great at scooting but that's it.

Cant believe who I forgot to mention who I think is not far off from been one of the best hookers in the country, or is certainly going to be in the next year or two, Clark at Cas. I would have him in the England set up all day long.
