I'll bet there would be lots of much younger options to lafai over in oz who would be much younger and probably cost less. We don't want more 32/33 year olds on 2 year + contracts. It's just asking for trouble. I can see a scenario next year where we have half the salary cap sat in the stands again due to injuries which can be avoided with more considered recruitment. But players who have proven to be robust, not ones who are the opposite |

Not a sob story at all…someone questioned why I don’t go and I answered….doubt I aren’t the only to have drifted away but you like to bring it up.As for the remaining signings…let’s see who they are,like we say…a speedy half back and centre would be ideal and maybe another forward with the young guns back up.They will be better coming in with more experienced players around them unlike this season where out of 1-7 on Sunday…4 was youngsters and 2 of those was in the spine |

I know I'm a figure of amusement to some of you when I say this but this is an interesting read and I tend to think at times that Beaumont is after us and wants to try and reverse the decision to scrap relegation, to our detriment.

I would not take Beaumont’s reading of the situation as being remotely authoritative.
If they did decide to bring back relegation, it definitely wouldn’t be this season. I’ll grant you that Beaumont might want that, but… so what? Even if it was Hetherington or McManus, I don’t think you’d have anything to worry about, and they’ve at least got a bit of gravitas/political clout. This is Beaumont.
Even if London finished above Hull (slightly unlikely, but not implausible), and Hughes did take action (extremely unlikely, imo), what would be the legal basis? London are miles off on the IMG gradings, and there’s no legal obligation for a sport to run a system of traditional P&R.

Beaumont still, hoping beyond hope that he can find a way to keep asiata. There was one of this from him prior to us signing asiata and we were much worse

looking at ours and Londons' remaining fixtures ours do look more favourable, plus if we can keep losses to close scores, our PD is worth another point atm, so fingers crossed, see you next year Derek!

Unless something major happens that impacts your IMG score (or those of multiple other clubs) or they scrap the system, you’d still be fine - in terms of not having to fear demotion. |

Not if they bring back promotion and relegation. It's the RFL. Agree on a change try it for it for a couple of years decide it isn't working well and revert back. And repeat. |
