The only thing he lacks is speed but he is far from mediocre and I beleive you to be very much in the minority in your opinion of him

Whiting is in no way mediocre, he is a very gifted and skillful player and is not as slow as people make out and having him on the field is bringing the best out of Calderwood too.

I'd say it's keeping [itoo many[/i average players that's been our problem.

Whiting is worth another contract IMO. Every side needs one utility player, and Whiting is a good one. He's also young and British.

There are a number of players ahead of him in the queue to be released.

Depends if we recruit better quality of players in the front row and don't renew Tony and Cusack's deals. But I wouldn't be overly upset to see these players leave if they are replaced by better ones.

He's one of Hull's better players and he's British. Whilst I wouldn't claim for an instant that the first point makes him brilliant he has the skills necessary to play at SL level, and can perform those skills at a decent level on a consistent basis. He should be given the LF role with a ball playing mandate but I doubt that will happen.

kimmorly is the better of the 2 by far,has everything in his game and is a leader.

OK....in terms of more talented players currently at the club, who would you place above him?

Thionk Whiting and G Horne do a job for us but i would gladly see them both go if it meant we could sign a world class centre.

Whiting is a better centre than Yeaman at the moment. IMO.

Dont think either of them get much service tbh. A decent ball player in the middle of the park would show Yeaman to be what he is, a very very good centre. Whiting is benefiting from Calderwoods enthusiasm for me currently but should never be our first choice right centre if we want to compete at the top.

out of the two i would rather have matt orford

2 years younger and the way he played against leeds in the world club challenege was world class, if he is half as good that for us he would be a good signing

also kimmorleys contract isnt up till 2010
