Well thats true but it is hard not to get one
I don't mind the idea so much i just think it is a silly time to be doing it especially for a game we will get 14/15k for anyway. Would it not be a better idea to offer the same concessions to the Rhinos as well and boost the travelling support? Or is it to get a big a crowd as possible behind Hull to give Agar that extra help he needs to beat the Rhinos??

Think your being a tad harsh here Standee.
When you consider that for the last 3 seasons (maybe more) the Quins game has seen the away end turned into the FREE school end for 3000 kids, would that have altered your opinion of buying a season ticket?
I think the idea is actually there for create additional income for the duration of the season. Leeds for the first home game will have been a decent enough gate as it stood. Get the remainder of the lower tier filled with a few of these concessions and you have a few more people in the stadium who might not otherwise of attended who (and there is clearly a huge IF enroute) may well come back for more at full price if (there it was) we put in a great performance.

The club did a big marketing push for the Leeds home game in 2005 which was also the first home game of the season and live on Sky. We got 17,080 that day.

hull fc is a buisness, the number 1 aim is to make money, fc are only doing what any big supermarket retailer does if you think about it, say you shop at tesco every week, your next door neighbour doesn't but receives a £10 voucher off a £50 shop there, as you already shop there, they don't send regular customers big money vouchers normally, are you going to go into tesco and demand yours? i doubt it, as many say, it's all about attracting new customers or supporters in our case

In my opinion free tickets to kids is very different to reduced entry for adults.

utter balls
Tesco (and the others) reward loyalty and repeat business, there are never offers only available to new customers.

Why don't you buy a discounted ticket for the Leeds game and sell the ticket from the enxchanged unused season pass voucher you don't used at full price.

you know this?
working for one of the big retailers, store cards like nectar or tescos club card store points and what you spend on each visit, if you spend next to nothing in one shop or pop in now and then, they send vouchers to these type of customers to attract them to shop, hence receive a £10 voucher to deduct off a bill of £50 or over, now if you can prove me wrong, be my guest. its about time you stop putting everything fc do down to try and drum up a little support and praise the club instead for trying to attract new fans!

Isn't that effectively what the family ticket is, though, £50 = £24 each for 2 adults and the kids at £1 each?
The South Stand seats are still more than a pass works out at per game.

Why are you being shafted?
The club were selling a 'Family' season pass - 2 adults and 2 children - for £480 (before 31/12/10).
If this deal was offered for every game it would still be more expensive than the 'family' pass, even taking into account the £130 worth of vouchers, and without any of the advantages of being a passholder.
I think the club has shown enterprise

I was just about to post something similar to you, so here goes: -
I can understand how people are feeling after committing to the club financially and then in Round One; there is a discount offer for non-pass holders. But remember this is for the family area only and only discounted for a family of two adults and two children. Now if you compare it like for like with a family of same proportions that purchased a season ticket in this area of the ground it would have cost £480, divide that by 13 home games and it works out at £36.92 per game for a family that purchase in advance not £50 as for this discount offer. Still rewarding the loyalty of those who purchased in advance. You could then spend the £13.08 in the club shop as you are better off by being a pass holder.

| Quote: garroway "Great deal by the club, it'll put a few more bums on seats.'" some people are just never happy thats all. They have a discount for every game plus a free game and a meet the players session. Maybe a summer bbq? (not to mention priority tickets should we be in such a position) Itspeoples own choice to buy a pass. Some people just like moaning about everything HFC full stop.
