| I do think given the criteria for red/yellow and pressure to make decisions in 5 seconds the referees on match day have a difficult job. If anything a yellow card or less should be default and the disciplinary panel should link with all concerned have all video and take as long as they need to come to a decision. Perhaps the panelist?s should be vetted for allegiances too. In hindsight which the panelist?s should have and a lot more a yellow was appropriate at most. It ruined the game and rendered the outcome nigh on certain with an hour to go. Think the bunker statement in union might help. If completely exonerated the opposite team could lose a player for 10 to even up. Might be unworkable but a thought

To be fair, they have done this all season until Friday given it was the first red card of the year. Had it been blatant foul play then fair enough but given it was an in game collision then yellow seems to be what they have been doing so not sure on the reason for the change on Friday. Morgue was also clearly dropping in height if you roll back a second or two

So recent neutral ex pros need to input somewhere in the system. I also think collision at a lower than shoulder height is mitigating in itself. The game is too quick to make adjustments at the last minute. I could go on but I?m boring myself silly. It really needs forensically addressing, taking account of head injury as otherwise it will ruin the game. Look at old footage of MacDermott v Sironen c1990 that?s proper redcardery v cust

| I think Good Friday showed that Amir needs resting a little more now that Denive is fit. It was a really poor effort for Rovers 2nd try, he stopped running and tracking back to Hiku, if he had continued to run he'd have tackled Hiku, or prevented Burgess from offloading just do his presence in the area

In all seriousness, no challenge this season in the 50+ matches so far had been deemed worthy of a red card. Do you think custs clash with morgue was the worst one of the season? I'm pretty sure the collision occurred as it did as he tried to pull out of the challenge otherwise it would probably have been a clash of heads and much worse for both parties. The rules need to be looked at where 2 players are chasing the ball as neither is the attacker or defender until the last second so who has the duty of care? If cust had caught the ball then collided with morgue in the same way he doesn't get sent off. We're talking micro seconds here and it's impossible to react in that time. I thought at the time it was a red but having seen photos and watched the incident again I just don't see where cust has been reckless or guilty of foul play. We'll get to the situation where we have uncontested kicks at the rate we're going

| I have no issue with the red. It looked bad.The ref and vr can't look at it all day the have to make a decision.
I doubt Cust was being deliberate but thems the breaks.
And let's be honest is anyone suprised the first red goes to us?
We have to be super clean.

Pryce would have got the red for attacking precious Ikkle Mikeys shoulder with his head.

I just think it was an unavoidable collision so you are penalising the player and team for something they cant do anything about unless they don't challenge for the ball

| my view of the cust red card is this. ive watched it so many times, both cust and morgue are goign for the ball, you can see custs hands going for it. morgue gets it the ball a split second before cust. from there, how are you supposed to pull out. running at full speed and less than a foot away.
not only that, grant claims there is no mitigation, but when you look at morgue, his legs are bending before contact, so lowering from his height (which is already small) all those things mentioned above is mitigation surely?
i never thought it was a red. even the on field ref gave a drop out. my kr friend i was watching it with said sin bin. she was stunned at the red card.
then you get JWH clear punch to asiata face. linesman right inline with it and says nothing. rfl have 3 different camera angles of it and say "unclear"
was stevie wonder on the board?
one more thing both me and my kr friend noticed was JWH try. hiku knocks the ball onto briscoe in the air (knock on) yet they said nothing about that and awarded the try.
her words from that game were "thats our get out of jail free card used up"
