| Quote: edinburgh yorkie "even though i now live in edinburgh,i am a season pass holder with FC.i never miss a home game,500 mile round trip,in all kinds of weather.even when i was serving in the far east with the ROYAL NAVY,my family kept me upto date with the team.i can always remember, as a kid getting in at halftime for free on a saturday afternoon.'"
Now that is loyalty.
Got to say I am pleased I am not buying your car off you.
Harping back to my earlier post,it was 1985 if I recall correctly.
The days of Norton,O`Hara,Stone,etc,etc............sigh,all nostalgic now.

| Brought up around Pontefract and was bombarded with Wakey, Fev and Cas all the time. I favoured Fev but (maybe strangely) only really started watching RL with the Dons in about 1965 when they played at Tattersfield in front of 200 fans. They used to lose nearly every match but when I started supporting them they won the next four matches! I remember them winning at Headingley 22-11 when Lewis Jones was playing and Tasker, our left winger, scored four tries!
Moved to Hull in 1967 and was taken to the Boulevard and was gobsmacked by the atmosphere - haven't looked back since...

| I was born down Edinbrough st Hessle road, probably about 10 minutes walk to the boulevard, one of my earliest memories is of my grandad and uncles taking me to the church that is the boulevard.
I have come away the last couple of seasons moaning about the quality of our perfomances and wondering why i buy a season pass.
I now feel very humbled by some of the people on here who travel hundreds of miles a weekend to support this great club, this post has been a very timely and positive contribution .
I love Hull FC with a passion as do my children, it just seems to seep into your soul.

good post, people moan for moaning sake. Its in the blood, we all want the best for the club but at the end of the day for me, even if we got relegated, went amature or whatever, id still go. Some people see that as a negative, for me its a positive, i support hull fc the team and always will. All you guys that travell all those miles every home game deserve some recognition from the club even a 10% discount on season passes for their loyalty in these hard times. (fc voices? have a word) Good publicity for the club. Doing small things for people makes a massive difference

| Dad took me and my brother to Headingley to supposedly cheer on Leeds RL in our first ever game (1980) luckily they were playing Hull FC, who we have supported ever since mainly to wind my dad up.
Members of the Hull FC west Yorkshire branch following the team across the country throughout the 80's with a great bunch of supported from across the region. Season ticket holder at the Boulevard for many years and witnessed some epic battles. Highlights probably the JPS final at Headingley, winning the title at home and the Haka that followed, 1985 Ctr final away win at Widnes and semis against Cas and that final, and of course the 1982 replay win at Elland Road.
I drink in a great local in Pudsey that is the home to Rhino's, Bulls and FC fancs and always creates a great atmosphere. In 2005 most locals couldn't face us for the weeks following the final, very entertaining, and still brought up frequesntly, especially when Whinos fell at the final hudrle again.

| I guess I have done this in reverse. I don't I must confess (much to my mothers anger) consider myself as coming from Hull. I am from ever so slightly north of Hull. I have supported the club since I was 6 or at least that is what I tell people as that was when I first went. But I am certain that mum and dad started drilling into me Hull FC at a much earlier age.
I am now approaching my 40th birthday and next month will "celebrate" 20 years living in the south. In all that time my love for the club has never ceased. Yes I have become angry at times, certainly more recently, but in all that time I have tried to spread the gosspil about HULL FC.
At times it has been hard. Many a shandy drinker has tried belittling my team. Many more shandy drinkers have tried to tell me how great Union is over Rugby League, but not one has convinced me that my loyalties should lie elsewhere.
I have even had discussions with RL fans asking me why I go to Hull and not to London matches. WTF are they on ?
I am black and white and always will be. Unfortunately as some of you know I am not retired and my pension has not matured yet ( I am sure Cod'ead will have words to say about my pension he wants it stopped !!!! (see sin bin)) As a result Friday nights are very difficult for me, Thursday's even harder !!!
But I will always support Hull FC to the detriment of all others. My kids love the club, my eldest boy harbours ambitions to play just like Danny Tickle.
I look at others who don't have HFC or for that matter a sporting club to genuinely follow and I think about how hollow their lives must be. No passion, no excitement, no dreams, no desire for one club. How dull must that be ?
I feel very fortunate to have had parents who took me to the Boulevard to watch the greatest team in RL. I also feel very passionate about encouraging others to do the same. Colleagues and relations here in the South now wear the irregular hoops of HFC. That fills me with pride when I see them doing that.
The club will always be where my heart is even though they seriously p me off at times.
Forever faithful !!!!

| As an aside,my mrs is also an Hull supporter and once asked me if it was strange shouting "Come on you `Ull", being as I am a Grimsby supporter.(Yes I know, sad before anybody says it!)
My reply is not at all,Hull are my number 1 team above all others.
