| I personally wouldn't knock him for his reply. I think that it was very good of him to reply so promptly. Yes, it was lacking a little detail which he could have voluntarily added to his reply but I'm sure that he will do that when he replies to my second E-mail.
I think it says a lot about him to be sat at home, in the office or wherever he was, answering E-mails from fans at 9 o'clock in the evening.

| Quote Big Dave T="Big Dave T"As an ex-marketing director i find his approach a little odd sometimes. It was clear that a more thorough reply was needed to avoid setting hares running but he has failed to grasp again the bigger impact of not saying something truthfl to the fans. Maybe he cant but it would be nice if he said that he cant give further details as one of our current players is leaving and doesnt want to announce it yet or something of that accord.'"
Have you been drinking?
If he said that to a fan it would be completely unprofessional.
Also why hasn't he been truthful? He answered the question but didn't give details (that weren't asked for). I'm not his biggest fan but are people just literally looking for any excuse? Why aren't we just happy that we have a further quota spot available?

| Quote Big Dave T="Big Dave T"Cordoba off quota, maybe Moa can come off and Manu can come off too?
Maybe he is saying the quota not full yet because O'Meley/Fitz dont have a visa yet?
Maybe Berro is going?
Would be nice to have further clarity would it.
'"
Cordoba would be non-federation trained as would Moa. Manu cannot become Federation trained until his current contract expires.

| If we do have space for him (and I hope we have), I would get him signed up soon. I recon there will be quite a few other clubs in the waiting for him. His price tag will end up being more then we are prepared to pay.

Because people always want to know the how and why. We dont think we have a quota spot left, he does. We want to know how and why he thinks we do. We also have a distrust of the way that our club is ran as per the co*k ups of previous years so are naturally curious here to ensure they club are understanding the quota rules correctly.

Youre probably right. So wheres the middle ground then of being professional but telling us something? Is professionalism an easy excuse to be secretive sometimes?

Especially given the !dawning of a new age of communication" that was trotted out a few days ago.

And as i said yesterday, if FC agreed a new contract with him that expired 2009 rather than 2010 (ie 1 year shorter) it would legally overwrite his existing one. Meaning that when we then agree a new contract with him for 2010-2011 he could come off from the end of this season. Maybe this is what FC are doing.

Would the RFL see through that though? Sounds like a bit of a loophole to me

They will have made sure that teams can't do that, this is the dynamic, forward thinking RFL we are talking about.

It was 9PM last night, someone asked a question, which he took the time to answer and you think he should have spent even more time explaining the how and why when it wasn't even requested?
