I have no idea how much he's seen. But I would say that if he hasn't seen much then it's a huge problem. It's a plain and simple fact that most recruitment needs to come from this country, so I'd expect him to be doing as much research as possible and watching plenty of DVDs to learn about the players around SL pretty f**king quickly.

I really don't understand why so many Hull fans seem to have a problem with ever accepting that a situation is actually as it is described, it seems that there always have to be claims that something sinister is going on.

But your argument is we have players either playing out of position or who are new to the team.

Tonight we had

3 of our 3/4#s who have been playing together for 3 seasons
Our 1st choice half back combo
2 of our 1st choice back rowers
2 of our 1st choice front rowers

Now I don't expect us to be at our best with the players we had missing, however it isn;t an excuse for the disorganisation and lack of dummy runners and support play we saw tonight, and which has been evident for some weeks now

Wellsey A really good summary of what we have seen tonight - I agree with you we were gash at times but the officiating was a disgrace - After watching the SOO this week we as as a game have gone backwards.The Refs and Touch Judges were great. Some-one I know said this week to me why dont we try to bring in 6 Aussie Refs for a time - maybe 3 months - at least it would give us more options. If clubs can pay ordinary players shed loads of money to come over here then I think the RL should consider this. Opinion please?

I feel the same. Very rarely even bother watching the SKY games live any more. Generally watch them on fast forward and just watch the tries. Can't remember the last time I bothered watching any of the other SKY RL programmes all the way through

Great post. So many moaners and conspires about alleged 'unrest' or 'fall outs'. We get it every season, funnily enough never when we're in a good run of form.

Had you read the thread correctly you would have understood I was responding to a post which claims fans expectations are too high, my response was that of course they are when there are articles claiming we will make top 4!

When did we last finish a season in good form ?

good post wellsy,thought the effort was there tonight, but we have injuries now and a lot of them, even with a fully fit team we are a top 5 or 6 team,without half of them we are gonna struggle, am not writing this year of but its gonna be a struggle,hopefully next year we can start the climb up the table,i see the usual suspects are on here with there usual doom and gloom,at least there will have a good night in bed with there socks

I seem to remember Gentle saying in an interview with Humberside when he first arrived that even before he'd got here he'd spent his time watching as many dvd's of the last few seasons of superleague as possible.

The way he is shipping out players that were signed previously and feels are not the type he wants already, I would say is an indication that he wont be letting anyone come in unless he has indicated he wants them.

The club was in such a mess when AP took over that Gentle has his hands full with first team affairs without the distraction of the contract negociations once he's identified the player he wants.
