We played a SL side when Wigan visited Craven Park a massive two days after beating your lot........ Hull played an U19's side tonight not really on a par is it.

just had a quick look at the table (naturally this will change over the weekend)

Only four teams have scored more than Hull
Only five teams have let in fewer than Hull

That would seem to point to Hull being round about exactly where they should be in the table. Those who have scored more have scored a lot more which would also suggest that we'll struggle to get much further in the play-offs but it won't stop me hoping (again).

I'll agree the U19's you faced tonight wasn't, Probably why you actually managed to get over the whitewash in this game.

I pretty much agree, but that's not incompatible with what I said. Even if most of the teams are roughly equal to what they've always been, but the top few elite teams are weaker, then the overall quality is weaker, no? I actually personally believe that there's been a bit of a dip for most of SL, but it's more noticeable the higher up the table you look.

All I was saying is the reason we are now competing for 5th without looking too good is because there are a few more sides who aren't as good as they once were, so we've relatively improved without necessarily improving qualititively.
