Can we pay Raynors legal fees as a contract termination settlement? That wouldnt count on the salary cap would it? ........I should work for Wigan.

To be fair we could just sack him after his previous conviction. We wont though, we will pay him a settlement fee if we do indeed get rid.

I bet if Hull knew what more bother he was going to end up causing them, they would have sacked him on the spot after his conviction for racially aggravated assault or whatever it was.
It has turned into an expensive excercise for the club but they are 100% right in their stance.

Which saves us 60k over the year then if the HDM figure about his salary is correct.

Glad to of got rid and good to see the club making the stance with regards the off the field issues with players, don't know what it is with some players and the crap they get upto.

Bit concerned we are light in the backs now they aren't replacing him, could of done with someone like broughton imo but obviously not an option now.

I'd expect Jack Briscoe to be used as cover. I dont think we're that light. It's created opportunities for some more of our youngsters to stake a claim.

Maybe not light in numbers but in the way of experience, alot of responsibility on some young kids next year hopefully they'll come good but if they don't?

im sorry to see raynor leave this way was a great player for us with better service over the last couple of years would have been a great ,wish he could have seen his career out in the proper way sad ending for him ,although i have to say its the right call by the club under the cloud what hes under i hope he regains fitness and gets a couple of more good years ,not against us though ,all the best Raynor and thanks for some great moments

We've got to give them a chance. If they dont we can bring a loan player in.

Releasing Raynor will fast track some of the young prospects into the first team squad. He's been a quality player for us, but has been injured so frequently in previous seasons that players like Tom Briscoe have been given their chance, and have grasped it with both hands. Jack Briscoe, Reece Lynn et al are the new breed, and by all accounts are very close to the first team. Lynn in particular will be a star, and opposition coaches already know about him and believe he should be in the first team set up at the club. Raynor leaving will speed up these young player's development and, in a years time, we'll look back at this and be thankful for the opportunity that has been presented to Lynn, Briscoe etc.

Thanks for everything you've done Raynor, you've been a brilliant player for us. Now it's time for the future to be just as good, if not better.

Don't disagree with you i would rather give the youth a go then waste some money on a journey man or someone.
