It is the quality of the players they have brought in from outside, that has been their undoing.
Saints get Gidley from Aus, Hull bring in Todd Byrne. Leeds and Saints take Peacock and Pryce from Bradford, Hull take Thorman from Hudds. Leeds have Brent Webb keeping Tansey out of their team, Tansey winds up at Hull.
Also they don't have a massively self-motivated squad or much luck with injuries and visas.
Your trolling has gone beyond parody when a Rovers fan is sticking up for them surely? ![]()
Spot on I agree with that. Not the Tansey part though...

Cos I dont think it is a like for like comparison. Dont think Tansey was signed to be solely a full back but more utility. IMO.
I remember Tansey been more of an impact player at Leeds usually at hooker from the bench. |

He wants to play fullback and get away from being a jack-of-all trades, that was one of the reasons he came here. His versatility will be extremely useful to us but he's the first choice FB. |

It sounds like he does want to play full back permanently.
However Agars comments on the signing emphasized his utility value which I suspect was the reasoning behind the signing however he may well play all his Hull games at full back....until the injuries kick in!  |

Yep his utility value is definately a bonus when we get more 'bad luck' next season, i do think though that from the limited appearances he's made for us so far he looks to have the potential to become recognised as a top-class fullback in his own right

He signed for Leeds as a 16 year old from local Amateur club Stanningley where he was voted the best player in Leeds at his age for three years running. As an amateur he was mainly a Loose Forward and also started there for Leeds but was soon moved to Full Back in the u-18's compatition. Soon after he made the transition from a Full Back to the Centre he is now.
Ashley Gibson was ruled out for a long period in the 2007 season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament against the Catalans Dragons.

The rumours regarding the overseas back seem to have gone a bit quiet, has anybody heard anything about us approaching anyone and if were anywhere near to signing someone.

anyone else think we should try to sign a 6 or 7 ?
if horne or long are injured then we have no 'specialist' cover. in the event of an injury to the halfbacks i would rather see tansey stay at FB and also berro stay at hooker instead of shifting team around each week |
