| Fair play to Lee Radford I say, he has made some mistakes I agree but a message had to be sent out to the squad this week that last week was not acceptable. If dropping a few players and maybe sacrificing one game means we will gain a switched on squad for the rest of the season then I am all for it. Miller should be given the next 2/3 games to be shown what he can do, one game isn't going to reflect it IMO.
My other fear is that we will have another nightmare game and we start digging deeper rather then going up.
Time will only tell I guess.

I agree that they've improved but for me we still need to focus more on those attacking structures rather than improving our defence so that we get those points. We've been in some tight games so far this season that we've narrowly lost and for me it's been more about our missed opportunities whilst attacking than our defence letting us down.

It's chicken and egg, really though. Without the ability to convert chances there wouldn't be any points either. We've essentially changed a lack of chances problem for a poor execution one, with the same end result. Execution to convert is just as important a part of attack as the creation of chances.

But one further step down the line towards success
In all seriousness we really should have beaten Widnes easily with the number of clear chances created. That is full square down to individuals not performing the basics of their job. The thing I was most disappointed about against Widnes wasn't the execution but the lack of energy in our game in the second half. I want to see far more energy and urgency from every player especially if we are trailing at home.
Fair play to Radders if he drops players - he's said he will do so and doesn't appear to me like a guy who would say things he had no intention of doing.

Agreed. There was a noticeable difference between 3 or 4 players clearly trying to make things happen and getting frustrated with their teammates and the majority who just seemed to drop their heads and resign themselves to defeat.

He's shown already with Crooks and Rankin that he'll drop players so I think he will do that. The question is will he drop some of our more senior players if they warrant it. Time will tell on that front.

| Good to see Miller getting his chance, really hope he goes well and that the crowd gets behind him.
I'd like to see him partnering Rankin. Horne in the centre is an interesting option.

The only think I would be worried about would be long range kicking, which from what I have seem Rankin seems to be the best we have.'"
Experience means nowt, we lost with Azza and Horne in the halves. Give the young lads a go, cant be any worse than last week

| i think, that one of the problems in attack,is that when the try line is within reach,we have tended to get over excited and go into panic mode, because we have not scored, and this is leading to a lack of concentration, resulting in a lost chance.

| Hope Rankin and Miller are the halves tonight, but if we have another stinker of a game. I hope they are both given time and not ousted after one effort. Give them time to gel. They've played together before in Australia. They need a run of game to show what they can do. They also need the rest of the team performing.

Not particularly confident tonight I think we're too light in the forwards now - one class forward too many missing for me. Hope I'm wrong obviously. If we do get beaten up front it will be pretty obvious and I doubt blame will be attached to the halves whoever plays there. Against Widnes the forwards did ok but the backs stunk in my opinion and that was equally as obvious.

blame should be at any player regardless of there position,if they have a mare, you've just said the backs was bad against widnes..true,& have been called poor all week..now If the forwads don't win the battle upfront it makes hard work for the pivots to create,so then good halfs should be able to organise & drag/kick a team around the park, & get the best out of there team? But are our halfs good enough to do this? Any pair not just miller & Rankin? I'm quite nervous about tonight! :-/

| Playing Miller and Rankin in the halves against a pack that are likely to get dominated???
I hope Miller and Rankin play the games of their lives and leave Radford having to stick to his word and not drop them.

There's a difference between 'having a mare' and not having an opportunity to play well. If you don't generate 'go forward' as it's complexly named these days you can't do much else on the back of it. Last week we did OK there but were diabolical behind it. If the forwards prove me wrong and perform well tonight then the backs must also perform. If the forwards struggle then you can't kick your way out of trouble if you're always kicking from inside your own 30. Ask London if you're in any doubt.

| We'll either win by about 4 points or we'll get beat by about 18 imo.
Seriously missing Paea and Carvell.
I can't see Horne being moved from 6 either unfortunately.

Out of the 3 centres, why would Arundel be the one you'd leave out? Would seem highly unfair and the opposite of what we should be doing IMO, on merit I'd say he's currently the least deserving of being dropped.

[u[i“The drums have been beating for me to give him a game and it’s now on his toes, so we’ll see what he’s got. He hasn’t played so far because of his performances in the friendly games.[/i[/u
The above is a quote from Radford which I find amazing, bearing in mind that Miller did not have the advantage of playing with the first team squad and had to make do with the second string in the friendlies. It really seems to me that Jacob doesn't have much of a future under Radford.
