Vote yes he builds some extra stuff around the KC and keeps us in tennacy due to the extra revenue capacity may increase to 30k but no point in doing it any further should'nt alter things a great deal?'"
Or the council do a Jerry Maguire and say "Show me the money".
Allam craps himself and scuttles off back to his dreamworld.

| I've said before, elsewhere, that IMO the only reason the Allams rescued Hull City was to give themselves chance to own the KC and develop the land around there.
The publication of the HDM with them on the front, purporting to be holding plans up of a new stadium out at Melton, was laughable IMO and an attempt to put the possible sale in the minds of the council.
Hull City Council spent £47million building that stadium, it's less than ten years' old, and I bet they'd only get around a third of that in the sale.
I do worry when one of the first things a new incoming council leader says is "We'll let the people of Hull decide whether to sell the KC or not."
Sounds to me like he fancies running a council with some cash to play with.

I didn't state being 65 is a crime, it isn't, but I have direct experience of local councillors/councils, it's always the dinosaurs that are in charge of the worst performing ones, Hull long suffered under Labour and yet the people have let them back in again.
We'll see what the next 12 months bring, I hope I am wrong about it being bad for Hull and HCC's emplyee's.

| Brady has not committed to anything, including a referendum. All he has done is give a politicians answer which makes no firm promises. Quite sensible in this case as he has only just been elected and is unlikely to have the full facts. Lets see what happens after he has seen what Allam really is after and who is expected to pay.

| The referendum would be a difficult choice, I would instinctively vote no to the selling off of a valuable ratepayers asset, but if he is serious in his threat to build a new stadium at Melton we would be left with a white elephant. If he does move, an option might be to drop the upper tier of the West stand to reduce the capacity suitable for you to run as a rugby ground only.

| Don't know why some get their knickers in a twist about the KC. If the council own it we'll be tenants. If the Allams own it we'll be tenants. What's the difference?
For those that think the Allams are bad guys answer me one question, will they want to lose a revenue stream if they own the stadium by alienating FC?

And who is to say they will get 35,000 people going to watch in the championship? how is he going to repay the 100 million he wants to build all this with? I just dont trust the guy. Afterall he has already threatened to take hull city out of hull if he doesnt get his own way. So what will be next when he spits his dummy.

There's no chance of him getting planning permission for melton let alone raising the finance

Whilst the KC is in public ownership there is virtually no chance we will never be kicked out. If it's in private ownership then the situation changes dramatically

| beware of greeks (or whatever) bearing gifts ?
he keeps saying he wants to give something back to the city ?
bull, he's a buisness man and he's seen a chance to make lots of money (good on him)
what worries me is we could end up with another David Lloyd saga where one man can control who can and cannot play at HIS ground ?
i'm only glad that he has not bought into Hull FC (yet)

I don't think for one minute that he would buy into Hull FC. I don't think theres enough money in RL to entice him. He'll stick to wendy ball were the money banded araound is outrageous.
