Providing this deal is worth peanuts then I have no real problem with it. That said still can't help but think we've gone from Scott prince to extending Hornes deal. Hope we are not happy to just settle for that.

If Rich can rekindle something of his old form on a regular basis then he'll be an excellent asset to have around for another year.
There is also Seymour's future at the club to consider. If we manage to offload him and bring in a replacement and then also let Horne go we'd be right back at square one if one of our halves got injured whereas by having Horne around for another year we have both cover and competion for places which can only be a good thing.

I think it is a good move by Hull and well timed. All 3 front line halves are now signed up for 2014 and with Rich Wilkinson and Danny Nicklas waiting in the wings Peter Gentle wont be bombarded with questions about a marque half back signing all season.

Fantastic news for Horney and the club totally deserved IMO.

Like other posters have said , I would have liked the club to have waited till later in the season before offering him a deal .

Pleased with the extension. Horne looked like his old self with a quality 6 alongside of him. In terms of contract extension, the anti tasmper deadline is now May so we need to act quickly if we want to keep anyone.

Thought Horney was fantastic on Sunday and hope for more of the same this Friday night against Saints. Come on you 'ulllaaahh

It was surprising how much time he had for a guy who isn't blessed with Sam Tomkins pace, but could probably put some of that down to the defence. Hope he can do it against some of the stronger teams because we'll need him to when it comes to the playoffs
