Despite the fact that we have been well below par I hope that fans will not start to second guess a 27 game league system that rewards teams that beat others. We're not anywhere near as good as we all want but we play in a league that spans 27 games.

It would be crass to dismiss our overall finishing position in a relative league even though we all wanted better,.

Seem to be hitting a bit of form at the back end of the season once again.

I don't quite agree with that. I refuse to accept that with how good we have been on occasion, we can't be better than we tend to be more consistently. It IS possible, it has to be. It's exactly the point Gentle made about narrowing the gap between our best and worst performances. He was spot on, he just hasn't done it enough yet.
